Snarky Pop-Tarts Card

It's time for another Crackerbox and Suzy stamps project!  I've had this idea bouncing around in my head for awhile, and it's so super duper easy.  I love easy!  I bet you do too.  You could make a ton of these lickity split.  For this card, I'm featuring the Pop-Tarts stamp.  It's also part of the Food and Drink sale going on this month.  Add it to your shopping cart before Aug. 1st to get an additional 15% off.

If you have some wonky nesting frame dies, they would work great for this.  However, I chose to simply use some DCWV papers and just cut my own wonky shape, to look like the shape of a pop-tart.  These are sized to layer onto an A2 sized card.  My kraft paper is adhered with my EZ Grand Runner and my purple layer is popped up with foam circles, as is my sentiment.

Grab some white acrylic paint and just dab lots of dots with a small paintbrush.  I sprinkled a touch of crystal glitter while it was still wet, but you can't really see the sparkle in these photos.  For my sentiment, I used my Misti to stamp and masked my center wording, going in later with a purple brush marker and directly coloring the ink onto the stamp.  Easy and colorful!

My girlfriends would totally "get" the sarcasm behind this sentiment!  Give this card a try.  You really can't mess this one up and you are going to love how easy and quick this comes together.  Don't forget the Christmas in July challenge that is currently going on.  I hope you'll enter!  There's a $25 GC up for grabs and you have until Aug. 14th.

Mermaid At Sea Card

It's Beach Week all this week, on the Paper House Productions social media!  I hope you've had a chance to spot some of the amazing scrapbook layouts, cards and planner projects being shared by the design team and PR team.  You're bound to be inspired for your own creations!  

Once again, I'm creating with the Sundrenched scrapbook paper collection for this beachy mermaid card, that also features the Mystical Mermaid Faux Enamel Stickers and Sticky Pix Sundrenched Cardstock Multi-pack stickers.

I don't know what it is about torn paper, but I always feel like I have to rip paper for my beach projects!  Seriously, it's great for giving a wave effect or sandy beach edges.  Give it a try!

Those mermaid stickers?  Love!  They are so cool and have gorgeous detailing, shine and shimmer from the gold accents.  I created a little scene around my mermaid that includes sequins, a ric-rac border and ribbon mesh designed to look like seaweed.  To pop up my sentiment, I used baby powder to remove the sticky adhesive from my circular sticker.  Yes, that's a thing!  Just sprinkle a little baby powder and wipe with your finger where you wish to remove the adhesive.  Sooo easy!  Then you can add foam circles or squares to pop up your sticker and give it some dimension.  There's your bonus tip of the day!

This is such a gorgeous paper collection and perfect for scrapbooking your vacation photos, cruise pictures, or as I've demonstrated.... beachy cards!  Get it today!

Beach Trip Card

Hey card lovers, today I'm sharing another project for Paper House Productions and featuring the Sundrenched collection.  Is your significant other not taking the hint, that you need a vacay?

This should get the point across!  I think it's such a fun card, great for sending to your cruise buddy or your traveling companion.

There are so many beautiful papers in this collection, so I chose a few that I wanted to layer, and create a beach scene, starting with tearing some of the sandy beach paper.  My base is an A2 white card but I trimmed it down about 1/2 to 3/4 inch on the right side, to make my scene a little more narrow.

I love the font of the alpha letters which are perfect for coordinating your own sentiment.  I'm also using some of the Beach stickers and Sticky Pix Sundrenched Cardstock Multi-pack stickers.  To help blend a scene for cardmaking, sometimes you need to pull off the foam dots on your 3D stickers.  I did this on the base of my palm tree and flip-flops.  

The bottom layer of my scene, the sandy beach, is popped up on foam circles from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  This helps to blend with the 3D popped up leaves on my palm tree and make everything look more cohesive.  

You can re-create this card so easily!  Just rip some paper, trim and layer your other coordinating papers, pop on some stickers and you are good to go!  Add some additional special touches, like the hand drawn flock of birds and the "sea oats" from some burlap trim.

Easily Create Colored Crepe Flowers
