Good Vibes Card for Spellbinders

I've got another card for the new Spellbinders/Simon Hurley collab release featuring the Succulents stamp and die set. I love the "Hugs" die that's included with this die set and wanted to use it for this card. It also comes with a coordinating outline die as well and this pair adds a lot of extra value, in my opinion. Scroll down for creative details. This card came together quickly and easily. I used the Simon Hurley Candy Stripes die from a previous release, making two die cuts with my Platinum 6 die cut machine. Flip one of the die cuts and you have a plaid design! I used my Ranger glue to adhere my striped dies onto my black card panel. 

My plant was colored with Copic Markers then cut with the dies included in the set and mounted on foam adhesive. My strip sentiment was heat embossed and also mounted on foam tape.

Those flat dots on my background panel are made using liquid pearls. You'll need to use a stylus to create that flat effect. Just squeeze the liquid pearls on a craft mat and dip your stylus in. Apply wherever you like.

Rub-on's were super popular back in the day and are making a resurgence and I am all about it! They're perfect as accents on tags and for use in journaling as well.

Scrapbook.com - Faith and Scriptures - Rub-On Transfers - 6x8 - 2 Sheets

To frame my scripture verse, I colored and die cut images from the Wildflower Branches stamp and die set, coloring with Copic Markers. You'll find all the marker colors in my supply list at the end of this post. The stamp set can also be purchased separately, here. My die cuts were offset on the edge of my cardstock, then trimmed down with scissors to create that square effect. My blue backing is from the Jewels Cardstock Paper Pad.

Succulents Card for Spellbinders Simon Hurley Release

Hey friends. Today's card is for Spellbinders and the new release collaboration with Simon Hurley and Ranger Ink that is hot off the presses! I'm featuring the Succulents stamp and die set which is just one of the collections being offered in this release that went live today. Scroll down for some brief, creative details. When I received the Succulents stamp set, I knew I wanted to use Copic Markers for my coloring medium. You can see those color choices below. I also tested out my colors to see how they would blend before I began. 

After I finished coloring, I wanted to embellish my cactus (see photo above) by dotting all those spiny points with my white gel pen.

For the other plant, I added just a smidge of white gel pen after coloring, then swiped it with my finger to get that lovely highlight. What's that plant called? I have no idea. I'm horrible with plant names, haha. But I do love coloring them!

I also used the Spellbinders 3D Tile Reflections embossing folder with my Platinum 6 for the background panel and for the center diamond trio die cuts. Have you ever dipped your finger in white pigment ink? Try it. I rubbed a little on the green embossing. It's a quick and easy way to highlight embossing on colored cardstock.

There's a really nice variety of sentiments with the Simon Hurley Succulents stamp set. I used that inspirational sentiment below and plan to brighten someone's day soon with this card. The accompanying die set also includes a really nice word die (HUGS) that also has a background outline.
