So Suzy Stamps Surprise Leap Year Blog Hop

It's the battle of battles today at So Suzy Stamps!  And, it's Leap Year to boot, so unbeknownst to the "other" design team at So Suzy Stamps, Suzy is surprising everyone by having the design team from the Stamp of the Month Club (that's me), duke it out with the regulars for a "Leap" Blog Hop and Challenge.  The challenge is for us to create something with the stamps Suzy sent out.  Everyone is getting something different and we'll see who really "brings" it!   And guess what else?  There will be winners.  Card winners, even.  Someone will win the cards created from the entire design team.  Wow!

Now, if you arrived from Kymona's site, you're in the right place.  Let's get this show on the road.

Suzy sent me two stamps from the Congratulations series, one of which is actually being retired:

and

I've inked up my card using Suzy's brand new line of inks, called Ink Bites.  The set I'm using today is called, Coastal Breeze.  These are small cubes that pack a punch!  The colors I'm using are Egyptian Sand and Mermaid Mist and I've stenciled these inks using Clarity Brushes, as well as masking my sentiment.  I also used the same inks to make splatters on my page and embellished with DoubleClick Skittles and mini sequins.  All of these linked products can found in Suzy's online store.

Since I'm showing up and showing out today, I've finished the inside of my card with more ink splatters and the sentiment stamped in Egyptian Sand, as well.  Did I mention how much I ADORE these colors?  Oh my gosh, I mean really, I do.

Now, hop on over to my pal Jen's blog for the next stop.  If you get lost along the way, head back to Suzy's Blog to the beginning, here.

  5. Absolutely love these two colors together and the softness they have because of the way they have been applied. I also love the pretty patterned paper used in the background of the front of the card and the wonderful accents that the splatters and sequins bring to the card as well. I also love how the twine matches the color and softness of the rest of the front of the card and how the inside beautifully matches the front by using the same colors, the splashes and has the addition of the stitching around the outside. Such a lovely soft card to celebrate such a momentous occasion.
