Mistletoe Christmas Card with No-Line Coloring

Hello crafty boys and girls.  Today, I'm sharing this Mistletoe Christmas card for Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps as a sneak peek for our upcoming new release.  I've done some no-line coloring with the Holly Branch stamp and masking for my sentiment.  I'm also giving my Brother Crafts Scan N Cut a work out for this project!  I'll be quick, so sit tight for just a minute or two, if you like.

First, I stamped my Holly Branches with my Misti, on mixed media paper, and used a blotting technique with my Catherine Pooler Sand Castle Ink to achieve a faint outline.  I'll be sharing that technique this week in my Crafty Friday Night video series so be sure and check back.   Once I stamped all my branches, I water colored them with my Zig brush markers and a water brush, dried the paper, then cut them with my Scan N Cut.  Love that machine!  It took 3 minutes to cut 6 of these branches in detail, no fussy cutting involved.  

My card is approximately 4x6 inch in design.  I trimmed and scored a top-fold for my Neenah white cardstock.  I'm going with non-traditional plaid, using this wonderful paper from my Echo Park Paper "Have Faith" paper pad.  I wanted to create a window scene with my branches so I used a circle die in two sizes; one, to cut a larger open circle to reveal the white card, and two, to create a smaller circle in another shade as another color emphasis.

Once I assembled my card, I adhered the stems of my branches behind my plaid card panel,  then used small black adhesive dots from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to pop up the leafy cuts for dimension.

For my sentiment, I wanted to connect my words a little closer, so I used a masking technique, along with my Misti stamp positioner, and stamped each word separately, connecting the letter C to the M.  I used my Catherine Pooler Ink in Midnight for this.  I also scanned my sentiment with my Scan N Cut machine.  Once I scanned and cut the sentiment with a 0.4 mm border, I then ran a piece of green paper to match my leaves through the Scan N Cut machine, keeping the same outline image of the former cut, but changing my border to 0.8 mm.  How cool is that?  This is the first time I've tried to do that and I love how it turned out.

For my bling, I'm using Buttons Galore/28 Lilac Lane Deck The Halls shaker mix which is chock full of buttons and various sized sequins.  I think the buttons look like big berries, don't you?
