Birthday Wishes with Reverse Confetti

Today's card features minimal color choices, along with several Reverse Confetti products, available at Simon Says Stamp. Sometimes, when I'm not sure which direction I want to go with a project, I'll pick two or three colors and build around it. I've got a few creative tips and product links below, if you'd like to scroll down for a closer look.

I'm using new Reverse Confetti products (links below), along with Copic Markers for my project today.

I was so intrigued with the unusual shape of the oval window panel die, that I had to have it and take it on a test run. Typically, this cover panel dies comes with all pieces attached and you can clip the metal pieces that hold everything together. I chose to leave my entire panel intact, die cutting everything at once. I simply removed the inner oval ring piece after die cutting and discarded. It makes die cutting much easier! It also makes storage easier and you don't have to worry about losing pieces.

The plaid paper peeking through is from an older Lawn Fawn collection that is no longer available. However, they recently came out with a remix collection which would work as well, called Perfectly Plaid Remix.

I wanted a more subtle look for my stamping, so I chose to use Catherine Pooler Ink in Sand Castle with my Misti stamp positioner. It offers a totally different appearance, than using standard black. My personal preference is to color on 100 to 110 lb cardstock when using Copic Markers. Simon Says Stamp carries Neenah Solar White, which I love!

My cup, white oval shape and birthday sentiment were all popped up on foam tape for dimension.  The sentiment is only available at the Reverse Confetti shop when you place a $60 order, and it's called "Hooray". I also used more Catherine Pooler ink for my sentiment in Aquatini and Mandarin Spice.
