Stitched Spring Card for Spellbinders

Hello friends. Today's card for Spellbinders features the new Stitching Die of the month club selection, "Pocket Full of Spring". I am loving the stitching products that Spellbinders has been putting out. It has definitely rekindled my love of needle and thread. The fact that I can combine both loves, stitching and cardmaking is the icing on the cake!

 I've used DMC embroidery floss for my stitching on the blooms. For the leaves, I used the variegated DMC thread which goes from light to dark. All of of my stitching was done using two strands of thread for each element.

Once I was done stitching, I backed the flowers and leaves with additional cardstock, using the outline shaped dies that come with the set. This makes it easier to adhere to my background or pop up with adhesive foam. 

The papers that I used were from various paper pads I had in my stash, with the exception of that navy background card panel. It's from Spellbinders, but currently unavailable.

For my sentiment, I used the Pocket Full of Spring sentiment etched dies which is a coordinating set sold separately, along with my Platinum 6 die cut machine. It comes with four different sentiments that work for so many occasions, plus an outline die.  At just $6.99, this is an excellent value and can be used for so many other projects as well. I absolutely love the look of the etched wording!

This card makes me so happy and I can't wait to brighten someone's day with it. I'm so grateful that Spellbinders invited me to create with their lovely stitching products. It is truly a joy!
