April Quick Easy Card Kit For Spellbinders

I'ts April 1st and that means it's time for the new monthly club kit releases from Spellbinders. Today, I have four cards to share with you, featuring the April Quick & Easy Card Kit titled, "Happy Skies Ahead". Scroll down for some brief details.

I'm an avid coffee and tea lover so when I spotted the teapot in the die cut selection, I opted for an indoor table scene that you might find in the kitchen. I selected some patterned paper to serve as "wallpaper" and luckily, there's some fabulous woodgrain paper in this kit that I easily trimmed for the tabletop.

All the other elements quickly fell in place including the chipboard frames and other die cuts. It's not surprising that this is my favorite card out of all my makes!

Next up, we have some delicious ice cream cones. I'm so happy that Spellbinders includes two of every die cut because I loved having this super cool bear sitting between my two cones.

Again, I trimmed some patterned paper from the kit to create my backdrop, then trimmed the pink and blue cardstock panels from the kit for my die cut setting. This kit includes the most gorgeous copper colored sequins which are glued in both sides of my puffy sentiment sticker. Most of my elements are popped up on adhesive foam for added dimension.

This is another scenic card and I always love to have rolling hills and grassy knolls created with patterned paper. I just think it adds so much interest. My hills were hand cut with scissors and trimmed to fit my card panel. The blue skies and grassy hillside were both trimmed from card panels included in the kit.

The rest of my elements are die cuts, chipboard stickers, sequins and another puffy sticker sentiment.

Lastly, I made a sweet 16 birthday card. The kit includes alphabet cardstock stickers and this worked perfectly on this card. You can easily choose a different number to represent the birthday year though. My blue "present" and card panel are made from cardstock panels included in the kit. I also trimmed patterned paper to layer on top of my card panel, and also to create some "ribbon" trim for my present.

The remaining elements used are die cuts, chipboard stickers and puffy stickers. Of course each kit comes with cards and envelopes too, enough to make 8 cards!

I hope you'll consider subscribing to the monthly card club kit. I love it so much and this is just a sampling of ideas for cardmaking. The window for new subscribers opens on April 6th and closes on April 27th. Keep in mind that current subscribers will receive product first and remaining available product will be available to new subscribers after. There's no obligation, if you choose to skip a month, you can cancel and resubscribe at any time!
