Watercoloring With Catherine Pooler New Party Pastel Inks

Hello friends. I'm participating in an InstaHop today for Catherine Pooler, to celebrate the new Party pastel inks that will be live in the shop later today. I'm featuring the new inks - Frosted, Creamsicle and Lemon Sorbet and they are every bit as delicious as they sound! I've paired my inks with the new Ukranian Eggs stamp and die set, heat embossing and watercoloring.  Watercoloring is one of the easiest techniques and I'll have a one minute reel up on my Instagram and TikTok page later today, showing the watercoloring.

I stamped my eggs on mixed media paper using the Ukranian Eggs stamp set, clear embossing ink, then my CP Midnight ink, and sprinkled on the Catherine Pooler Halo embossing powder from Wow. It dries clear but gives a shimmery, sparkly effect to your heat embossed images. It's so pretty in person and I wish it showed up better in photos. You can see some of the shine in my Reel.

Before I actually began watercoloring, I die cut my eggs but kept them intact on my mixed media paper after the cutting, using tape on the backside. This allowed me to better see the outline of my egg for watercoloring. When I was done, I simply popped my eggs off the taped backing.

I also heat embossed a sentiment from the same stamp set with white embossing powder on black cardstock, then hand trimmed it to look like a die cut.

This slimline card is a bit larger than a mini-slimline, measuring 7 x 3 inches. Underneath my eggs is the new CP Spring Gingham patterned paper. This paper pack comes in a variety of colors, and I trimmed 3 squares at 1 1/2  x 2 inches. 

My scored and trimmed card was dredged along the edges with my Frosted ink pad, and I embossed a trimmed piece of white cardstock, dry embossing with an older embossing folder in my stash for added texture. 

All of my elements are popped up on adhesive foam for added dimension.
