Hello friends, I have another card to share for the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Fall/Winter Blog Hop. This card features a combination of several different digital images from Angie Blom Digital Designs who is one of the Super Sponsors for this event. Scroll down for more, plus a coupon code! I'm also linking this card to the Caffeinated Christmas Challenge which is the sister site to CLP.
(FTC Disclosure: as an affiliate for various companies in the craft industry, I will receive a small commission for purchases made through my convenient affiliate links, at no additional cost to you.)
First, let me tell you about the digital images used for this card. I just purchased the Christmas Joy Mugs digital set and wanted to work around that super cut holiday drink. Let's call it a Peppermint Mocha, haha! There are 8 adorable mugs in this digital set and several sentiments.
I love Angie's designs and have quite a few loaded onto my computer. I paired the mug, as well as the sentiment from that same set with the gnome from "I'll be Gnome for Christmas" digital set and the tree from "Deer Holiday Wishes".
If you'd like to purchase anything from Angie's Coffee collections, you can get 45% off when you use coupon code JAVA45 at checkout, for a limited time.
Now, if you've never worked with digital images, check out my blog post here, where I go into more detail. I use Microsoft word to add my images and print from my computer. There's a slight learning curve but I think the tips I share on that post will be super helpful, particularly if you've ever wanted to try working with digital images but were too afraid to try.
Once you get the hang of it, you will love it! I love being able to resize and move around my images. I generally work with the png files, they're easier to rearrange and have an empty background around the image, whereas, jpg files have a white background around the image, so if you want to combine several images, you need to use the png files.
I used OLO Markers to color my images and if you'd like to shop or find out more information on these artist markers, click here. I love OLO Markers so much, I became an affiliate! If you have any questions, ask away.
If you'd like to link up to the Coffee Loving Papercrafters hop, Friday Aug. 8th is the last day. Be sure and check out the rules, it must be a newly created card. There are numerous sponsors and lots of prizes being offered.
The Caffeinated Christmas challenge ends Nov. 25 and is sponsored by Pink & Main who are offering up a $50 gc to their shop. Again, check out the rules for linking up. You must have some red and green on your card for this challenge.
I also used a white gel pen to accent my trees with a little snow and to add some light effect to the bulbs on my cup.
One thing I should note, the gnome image comes with a small snowman beside it in the original digital image. I wanted to have my gnome appear as if he was holding his cup, so I simply enlarged my cup and imposed it over the digital image. It was a neat little trick and I love how it looks.
Lastly, the diagonal striped background paper for my A2 sized card is from my Scrapbook.com Holiday Cardstock paper pad. You can click my affiliate link here to view it or shop.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you'll join me for one or both of these challenges! Click the links at the top to hop over.
Have a great day!
Terri
