Winter Card With Mitten Stamped & Colored Background

The design team has been sharing previews of the upcoming new release for Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps.  For my project today, I've created a stamped background using the new Mittens stamp that will be featured in the new release.  Scroll down as I share special tips for creating this A2 sized top fold card.

To begin, I trimmed a 4x6 inch piece of Neenah Solar White card stock for stamping my images, using my Misti stamp positioner.  I wanted a more subtle appearance so I chose my Catherine Pooler Ink in Sand Castle.  I simply staggered my stamps in diagonal rows until my paper was filled.

To color my images, I used my Jane Davenport markers from the Mermesmerizing set and Feathered Friends set (Fairy Wren, Dodo, Egg and Bluebird).  I also embellished with a white gel pen for a snowy appearance, and used my Kaisercraft glitter and gel pens on my ribbon string.  You'll find links to most of  the products that I've used, at the end of this post.

I thought it would be fun to bling up my mittens even further, so I added some sequins and bubble gems from Buttons Galore from the Island Breeze sparkletz collection and Shades of Chambray shaker mix.

My quote is from the Echo Park Paper Hello Winter collection and it's popped up on foam circles from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  I also have a lace and ribbon focus on top of my stitched die cut panel using Pretty Pink Posh dies.
