Christmas Coffee Cup Card

The Christmas in July celebration at Scrapbook.com ends in just a couple days.  I wanted to share another card celebrating this event.  This card features watercoloring with my Altenew pan watercolor paints, paired with the "Hot Mess" background stamp at Unity Stamps.

First, let me share a couple key details on this project.  I stamped my background image on Strathmore watercolor paper, using Catherine Pooler Ink.  You'll find the product links at the end of this post.  Once I zapped with a craft heat tool to set the ink, I started watercoloring with a water brush.  I've used my white Signo gel pen to embellish and Kaisercraft glitter pens as well.

The stamp set is so large and has a blank space in the middle for stamping a sentiment, however, I decided to use some of my crafty stash to finish this off.  The chipboard sentiment is from Simple Stories and the polka dot background is from the Carta Bella Home Sweet Home collection.  These are older collections but I was so happy that they worked well with my project today.  It's always a bonus, to use things that have been sitting on the shelf too long, and give them new life!
