Christmas Cheer Card

Hey crafty friends. I'm sliding in here at the last minute with a card that I created for the July Caffeinated Christmas challenge. I've wanted to play along all month but time slipped away, as today is the last day to link up! I've got a few details on this card that features products from Angie Blom digital designs.

(FTC Disclosure: as an affiliate for various companies in the craft industry, I will receive a small commission for purchases made through my convenient affiliate links, at no additional cost to you.)

I used 3 different digital collections to make this card;

Mixed Media Elements 1 (background elements)
Cheers Everything (holiday beverages, sentiment)

I colored my images with a variety of artist markers (Copic & Olo) and went all around ink blending with my Ranger Distress Oxide ink in Vintage Photo, also a bit in the center.

Also, when placing my mixed media elements, the smear (at the base of my cups) and the lines on lines graphic (background behind cups), I changed my picture format on those images alone to gray. This gives a faded image that I really love when I want other elements to be the focal point. I also flipped my lines on lines graphic upside down where the lines were more minimalistic.

Looking back at the finished print, I wish I'd gone a little bigger with my drinks and my sentiment. Alas, what you see is what you get when you wait until the last minute, haha!

Next, I added some Stickles gold glitter glue to my stars and splattered some Ranger distress mica stain in Wooden Broomstick. I love this stuff, you need it for all the splatters! It's so shiny and dries quickly.

I also embellished my drinks using a white gel pen. I'm calling my holiday drinks Mexican Hot Chocolate. It looks just like something I would make for the holidays. I have some pure mexican vanilla that I love and I always use that in my drinks, along with the cinnamon. Switch up your coloring on this image and you can call it egg nog, haha!

Lastly, I used a sheet of buffalo plaid paper from my treasured American Crafts Hot Cocoa paper pad as the backing for my card panel. It's discontinued by you can still find it online from sellers on Ebay and Walmart, I think.

This challenge is sponsored by This Calls For Confetti. You've got until 11:55 pm pacific time tonight to link up!

See you next time, Terri
