Santa and Mrs. Claus Mug Gift Tags

Did you snag the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set from Scrapbook.com when it was free during Black Friday week? It's so cute and I thought I would make some Christmas tags with it. I plan on pairing one of those tags with a gift card to my son's favorite local coffee shop. It's currently sold out on the Scrapbookcom website but they'll be getting more soon and you can follow my link and click to be notified when it's back in stock.

Scroll down for brief, creative details. I'll have my shopping supply list at the end of this post, if you'd like to get more product details or wish to shop.

These tags are pretty easy to create. I used my Scrapbookcom Tag Nesting Dies with designer paper from the Merry paper pad. Although there are coordinating dies for this set, I chose to quickly fussy cut my stamped images.

I also ran some adhesive tape across the bottom portion of my tag, and covered it with Wow Cotton Candy glitter.

I grabbed one of my blending brushes that was still kind of inky with Catherine Pooler Deck the Halls ink, and edged the top part of my tags. I also took my Ranger Ink Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink pad and swiped it along the top edges.

To color my images, I used my OLO Markers. I popped up my stamped images with adhesive foam strips, then tied some string and hot glued a button to my tag. Easy Peasy!

Thanks so much for popping in today. Oh, and there's a coupon code you can use this week thru Friday at Scrapbookcom. Use code SANTA at checkout for added savings. You can also get the details here on any freebies available with your purchase. Have a great week!

Terri

New Release at Two Paper Divas Stamps - Day 1

It's time for the September release from Two Paper Divas Stamps and today, it's all about the holidays - Halloween and Christmas!  All the new release stamps are discounted 25% today and tomorrow but older holiday stamps on the site are currently marked at 30% off, so look around.

Today, I'm featuring Ho Ho Ho, which is this amazing vintage Santa Claus.

I'm coloring with my Zig Clean Color brushes today, using the Carmine Red on the cap and lips, then watercoloring with Almond Pink, Flesh and Tea Rose for the facial features.  His cap was adorned with Flower Soft in Polar White and the entire image was fussy cut and paired with the new Retro Christmas collection from Authentique Papers.

Check out what's on Santa's list.  He's not picky!  He just wants his milk and cookies, clear skies and to tear up the naughty list, haha.  All my writing was done with my Kaisercraft glitter pens.

Purchase Ho Ho Ho, here.

Visit the Two Paper Divas Blog for daily project inspiration and on Wednesdays for the Design Team Roundup.  Check out the newest release right here:

Over-sized Shaker Card with Rudolph

You know that moment when you start to toss something and then......oh, wait.

That's what I did with the packaging from an embossing folder.  I've had this idea for awhile and finally decided to give it a try.  Let me tell you, shaker cards are not my thing.  Some crafters can pull it off and make it look effortless.  I am NOT one of those crafters!
This card required lots of measurements and even then, I had to trim the top of the kraft card so it was proportional.

Rudolph was stamped, watercolored with Colorbox archival ink, then fussy cut and adhered to the vellum paper.  That's extra fine red glitter glued to his nose.  Most of the products used are from Pretty Little Studio:  the starry vellum paper, the starry sequins, the speech bubble and wording as well.  Under the vellum is a section of scrapbook paper that was cut from a Martha Stewart Christmas stack and features Santa in his sleigh.
So there you go.

Hope you have fun finding joy in re-purposing those almost tossed items too.
Merry Christmas!

Supplies: Repurposed plastic packaging, Tombow Aqua Mono glue, Martha Stewart designer paper, Extra fine red glitter, Pretty Little Studio starry vellum, Christmas words, Starry night confetti, and speech bubble, The Paper Studio kraft card and white textured cardstock, Colorbox archival ink in Saddle, Marvy Le pen extra fine point black,, white gelly roll pen, Studio g kids rudolph stamp

Vintage and Modern = one cool Santa

Today I received some goodies from Pretty Little Studio and being the impatient crafter that I am, I of course had to dive right in. . I love this vintage Santa from their Jolly Santa Vintage Tags collection.  So, I decided to work around him.

I just finished another card using this striped stamp from Spellbinders and thought it would be perfect as a red/green candy striped washi style accent.

This was a quick, easy card which I'm coming to appreciate more and more these days.  I added some enamel dots and then the sentiment which was perfect!  It's from Waffle Flower and part of their new "A Homemade Christmas" set.

So, who's started their Christmas shopping??  (Not me!)

SUPPLIES:

Spellbinders Celebrations Tape It stamps, Pretty Little Studio Jolly santa vintage tags, American Crafts Rouge ink, Powder Puff Limeade ink, Studio Calico enamel dots, Waffle Flower A Homemade Christmas stamp set, Tombow Xtreme adhesive, foam dots
