Watercolor stitched hearts

This card was made for a special lady who just turned 90 years old.  What an accomplishment!  We should all be so lucky to usher in a 90th birthday, and still be in good health and active as my friend is.  In coming up with an idea for her celebration, I decided to use my new stamp set, just released by

This set is called Flutter and I love it.  There are so many options using the hearts and butterflies, as pictured below. Valentine's Day is an obvious occasion to use this set but how about a card for your favorite crafter that sews?  Or the butterfly lover in your life?  Birthdays, Just Because, Thinking of You, Mother's Day....as the saying goes, the only limit is your imagination!
I water colored inside the heart images using my Colorbox Pinkolicious archival ink by blotting my ink pad on an acrylic block, and using a paintbrush to dab water.  A very easy and effective technique that you should try, if you haven't already.  I've been searching for some time for that perfect shade of pink and I finally found it!  Love the Pinkolicious shade.

You can purchase the set I used here: Flutter Stamp Set or any of their other stamps, dies, and other products.  I own several and, yes, they are fabulous products!
