DoubleClick Skittles Challenge - Up In The Sky

Welcome to another edition of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!

Challenge #31 - Up In The Sky

Sept. 16 - Sept. 29

I'm using clouds again for my Up in the Sky challenge but this one has birds too.  Actually, I needed a card for my pal Deb and it fit this challenge so, bonus!

Deb has been dealing with Thyroid Cancer and I wanted to send her something fitting.  I found this digital stamp image of the tree and birds, which was free from adayfordaisies.com, part of the "ribbons for a cause" set.

My Skittle colors are stream and sunset orange; perfect colors for this project.  For some reason, I thought the ribbon symbol for thyroid cancer was blue.  Wrong!  When I looked it up, it was blue, teal and pink.  So I had to get creative to fix my blue ribbon.  We're calling Deb "Sparkle girl" since she's currently homebound with radioactive treatments.   Don't worry about her, she's doing great and will come out of this whole ordeal, sparkle-free!  In the meantime, me and a few crafty friends are sending her "sparkle" cards.

Have you tried Skittles yet?  Skittles come in a multitude of fabulous colors and are handmade in batches in Carri's "lab".  There are 25 of these fun, bubble embellishments per bag and you can purchase most 3 pack sets for under $4.00 or in individual bags.  Plus shipping is FREE in the USA and PAYPAL is accepted.

You can purchase Skittles here:

The newest release, "Believe in Magic" is still available.  Perfect for all your Disney themed projects (Mickey, Pirates of the Caribbean, etc.)

Stay tuned for a big announcement from Skittles!  I can't wait!
