Stay Cozy Collection from Catherine Pooler Designs

Hey friends, I'm here to share a peek at the new release coming soon from Catherine Pooler Designs called, Stay Cozy. It's available this Wednesday, Oct. 21st at 8 am CT (Tuesday for Stamp Nation Members). Keep in mind, the links to new products throughout this post will not work until Wednesday (Tues. for Stamp Nation). As an avid coffee, tea and cocoa lover, I'm so happy to be creating with the new Cup of Cheer stamps and dies, plus more goodies from this release! You'll find my full supply list at the end.

I love all the additional elements with the Cup of Cheer stamp set. Snowflakes, candy canes, gingerbread men and so on. It really adds those special little touches to your scene of focal piece.

I had an idea to use a pair of the CPD Nested Arch dies to create a serving tray and I believe I pulled it off! I used my Over Coffee cardstock for the serving tray base and one of the Stay Cozy patterned papers to act as a complimentary layer to the serving tray.

The plaid paper from the Stay Cozy paper pack serves as the "table" for my serving tray.

Once I adhered my papers, I then stamped my sentiment from the Cup of Cheer stamp set using a mask technique for multiple ink colors.

The ink colors for my sentiment are S'mores and Wintergreen. I also splattered some S'mores ink across the top of my card, as well.

The other CPD inks I used for stamping include:

Polished, Sangria, Aquatini (mugs outside)

Over Coffee, Macchiato (mugs inside)

Lilac, Wintergreen (Snowflakes, Candy Canes)

Gingerbread (gingerbread man cookie)

And of course, I used the coordinating dies to die cut all my images with my die cut machine.

 

Lastly, I glued lots of sequins from the Whistler sequin mix to my card and embellished my center mug with a center sequin and tiny white beads at the tip of each snowflake.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this card and I love how all my die cut elements fit so nicely on my "serving tray"!

Christmas Mug Card with OLO Marker Coloring

Hey friends, I've got a Christmas card to share, featuring the new Pink & Main Hug in a Mug stamp set colored with OLO markers. This stamp set was designed by Angie Blom and it's so adorable! Of course, I love my coffee and tea, so I had to have this! I wanted to do some gradient coloring for this mug, using my OLO Markers. I started coloring from the bottom up using red colors R1.5, R2.4 and R0.4. This trio colored and blended beautifully! If you look close, you can distinguish the individual colors, but there are no streaks or lines.

For my greenery, I used G1.5 and G1.7 and for the whipped cream and cinnamon stick, I used OR1.0, OR4.4 and O2.5. I also splattered some white paint onto my mug.

To stamp my images and sentiment, I used Catherine Pooler ink in Cargo, and all my papers are from the Scrapbookcom paper pad called Snow Days.

The die cut frame is from the Scrapbookcom Charming Frames 1 die set. 

I love how this turned out, and getting a jump start on Christmas card making takes a little stress off during the holidays. Now, I just have to decide who I'm sending this to!
