Sympathy Card with Stamplorations

I've been down and out for what seems like FOREVER, although, it's only been a week, due to pneumonia.  Today, I finally dragged myself back to work.  It was the first day of not wheezing and actually beginning to feel slightly better, so I thought I'd take it easy, go in late and try and get back into the swing of things.

Unfortunately, I had the need to make a sympathy card for the family of friend, and  put this stamp set that I'd had for awhile, to use.  I'd been meaning to ink it up, but as a busy crafter, sometimes other projects take precedence, however, today I'm remedying the situation.

The set is from Stamplorations and called "Lotus Love" from Dee's Artsy Impressions line.  I also used the Stamplorations Honeycomb Delight stencil as well.  The lotus was colored with Tombow dual brush markers, highlighted with a white gel pen.  I used various distress inks for the lily pad, pond, and stenciling.

I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share for Kathy Racoosin's #thedailymarker30day challenge that began Feb. 1st as well, over at The Daily Marker.  Color a little something every day, just 5 minutes.  I hope to find the time to participate daily.
