Ocean Waves Stenciled Card

Hey crafters! I just received products from the new summer release at Erin Lee Creative and couldn't wait to get inky!  I'm not much for summer weather, particularly since live smack in the middle of rural Alabama and it's hot and muggy all summer long. However, I love making summer themed cards! I spent a number of years as a child living near my grandparents in Bonita Springs, Florida. I loved swimming, fishing and doing stupid stuff, haha! I never did tell my mom about the one time me and my friends swam in one of the Everglade canals, forgetting gators and all manor of venomous vermin lurked nearby.

Today's project features the Shells die set, the Stronger Than The Storm stamp set, and the Waves stencil.

I used Catherine Pooler inks for this project and will have them linked in my supply list below. After I finished stenciling in the color with my blender brushes, I had some really good, intense color. 

However, I got the bright idea to spray my entire stenciled card panel with Simon Hurley Solar Spray, Cross My Heart. It leaves a slight pink shimmer and muted my inked tones just a bit, but I didn't mind. The shine is so gorgeous. My sentiment was heat embossed and there's not a coordinating die set for the sentiments. I often fussy cut my own stamped sentiments and did so today, including a black backing.

The pink papers that I used for my sentiment and sea shells is from one of my Scrapbookcom paper pads called Vacation.

I also made a coordinating envelope with some 12x12 inch pink scrapbook paper in my stash, creating it with me We R Makers 123 punchboard. I used it to make custom envelopes and custom boxes.

I simply glued one of the sea shell die cuts onto the flap of my envelope. Do you make custom envelopes to go with your cards? I don't always but I was definitely inspired to do so today.
