Hello friends. Today, I have a slimline card with lots of fun accents, featuring products from the new Feeling Fall collection from Catherine Pooler. I had somewhat of a plan when making this card but, one thing led to another and the next thing you know, I went above and beyond my plan, haha. I know you can relate! One thing you may notice is, there's no stamping on this card. I decided to create a card with patterned paper and dies being the focal point. It was such fun! I also have some shortcut tips below.

One of my favorite tricks for cutting multiples of an image is stacking my patterned paper together. Most die cut systems can handle at least 3 stacks of cardstock. I decided to only use two and create 8 die cut apples from each of the two stacks of patterned papers. I used 4 different patterns from the Bushel and a Peck paper pack. To keep it simple, I also used only one apple shaped die from the Appley Ever After die cut set.
Next, I swiped ink onto white cardstock to create 3 different colored baskets for my paper apples. My apples are adhered to the backside of the basket starting at the bottom then working upwards.
Initially, my bushels of apples were going to simply adhere to white cardstock with a hot foiled sentiment. But, like I said, one thing led to another....! I ended up ink blending some shadow below my baskets with Macchiato ink, then added ink splatters with my Rockin' Red ink.
I also used a dark brown marker and swiped on the stems of apples. I only did this on the apples that are visible at the top.
Another detail I added to my baskets were twine handles. I adhered these with my hot glue gun. I also glued sequins from my stash onto the card for some sparkle!
I you saw the last two cards I shared on my blog, you know that I did some bulk hot foiling with the new CP Joyful Thanks sentiment hot foil plates and dies. I used one of those on my card as well and popped it up on double adhesive foam, so it would sit just above my center basket which was also popped up on adhesive foam.
I can't tell you how much I love the convenience of grabbing a sentiment that is ready to go!
I loved making this card and I hope you enjoyed the inspiration! If you'd like to shop for any of the products that I've used this week, you can click on any of my affiliate links to go directly to that product. Thanks for stopping in!
