Hello my friends. I'm so happy to share this card today, featuring products from the new Catherine Pooler Designs Lasso Life collection! New inks are in the shop as well, and they are so fabulous! I'm creating with products from the Happy Horseshoes bundle and my Irish heart loves all the clovers. Scroll down for all the details, my supply list at the end, and a special freebie offer w/purchase!

Let's talk about the new inks in the shop. Cashmere, Glacier and Succulent join the Spa and Neutral ink collections and I absolutely love them. I can't pick a favorite but I have to say, I love the deep, dark blue of Glacier. It makes a really great alternative to traditional black ink for stamping sentiments.
My card dimensions are just under A2 size, at 4.25 x 5 inches. I scaled down just a bit to have a more confined space for my embellished horseshoe.
I began by stamping random patterns on white cardstock with my stamp positioner, using the Succulent ink pad and the clover stamps from the Happy Horsehoes stamp set. I also created a die cut with one of the coordinating horseshoe dies, paired with paper from the new Calico Charms paper pack. These papers are #80 lb and very sturdy.
I occasionally laid down my horseshoe die cut to see where I wanted to stamp next.
There are several sentiments included in this stamp set. Because I wanted to appease the Irish blood that runs through my veins, haha, I selected the Lucky You sentiment, die cutting with the horseshoe die, then trimming off the ends to pop this up in the center of my card. I did have to add extra layers of adhesive foam, to have this be raised a bit higher than my horseshoe.
Yes, I stamped and die cut a ton of clovers! There are 2 different sizes and I chose 3 other ink colors to pair with the 3 new inks - Sparkling Berry, Stone Blue and Goldenrod. I stamped and die cut sooo many clovers! I was in the groove though and I stamped 4 clovers for every color. I had a few left over and saved them for another project.
I decided to adhere some of my clovers directly to the backside of my horseshoe, then pop the rest up on adhesive foam squares on top of my horseshoe. The entire horseshoe was then popped up on adhesive foam on the backside, as well.
Before assembling all my elements, I also swiped some cardstock with the Succulent ink pad, as a backing to my card panel and to tie in some of the green from the clovers. Because...Irish! Haha!
On a side note, my paternal grandfather was full Irish, my grandmother was English, and there's some German in there as well. I guess I'm actually a mutt!
Next, I decided to add some Glacier ink splatters to my card panel before adhering my horseshoe embellishment. Just press the ink onto a craft mat or acrylic block, mix with a bit of water and tap the splatters around with a wet paintbrush. So easy! I love how the color lightened up with the diluted ink. It gives you an idea of what it would be like to watercolor with the Glacier ink, as opposed to direct stamping which yields a darker hue.
If you spend over $50 (before taxes and shipping) on a purchase at Catherine Pooler, you'll get this fabulous Lucky Blooms stamp set free! Just add it to your cart and use coupon code YEEHAW at checkout. This offer ends February 12th. It can also be purchased separately.
I'm so happy that I was able to bring this vision to life. Often, I get an idea for a card immediately when I see the product, and this was the first idea that struck me. Does that happen to you?
I'll be sharing another project from this collection later this week so stayed tuned.
