Purrfect Kitty Card for Scrapbookcom

Hello my crafty friends! Scrapbook.com has announced the next SBCfest, with six very talented instructors in the lineup. They were kind enough to send me the entire Instructor Bundle to create with and I'm so very thankful! Today's card was created using Jess Francisco's Instructor bundle. I also used some SBC items from my stash, and also pulled out a gorgeous paper pad from Brianna Estrella's

 Instructor Bundle. Scroll down for creative details, along with the sweet kitty that inspired this card. I'll have my full clickable supply list at the end of this post, if you'd like to browse or shop.

Below, is my friend Debra's cat, who inspired today's card. Her name is Seraphina but they generally call her Sassy Pants. When I saw the sentiment "Miss Sassy Pants" from the new Bold Hello stamp set in Jess's instructor bundle, I knew I had to use it! 

This stamp set is currently only available in Jess's instructor bundle. After SBC fest, products in the bundles will be available for individual purchase.

There are so many amazing products in each bundle, you're going to want the complete instructor bundle set! In fact, I pulled the Primrose patterned paper pad from Brianna Estrella's instructor bundle, to pair with my other stamps and dies. You can mix and match for so many things, and you'll be creating with these products for years to come! It's an incredible value!

Now, I tried my best to make my die cut cat look like Seraphina, who I believe is a siamese or siamese mix. I used Catherine Pooler inks in Cashmere (body), Icing On The Cake(body, tail, ears), Sparkling Berry (inside ears), Black Jack(nose) and On The Lake (eyes). It took some creative ink blending and the use of my mint tape in places to mask certain areas to ink blend. 

I also used a water brush to color in some places with the ink. For the eyes and nose, I swiped my ink onto white cardstock, then die cut with the small detailed dies. All the cat dies and heart dies are from the Purrfect Pair die set included in Jess's bundle.

I also used my nested SBC Stitched Zig Zag dies (the 2 largest in the set) as a frame for my centerpiece, and stenciled the inside piece, which was die cut on white cardstock, to do some stenciling with the Little Paws stencil set from Jess's bundle. This is not a brand new product and is currently available separately. 

I also added some Pops of Color in Summer Peach.

For the heart die cut, I taped two different papers together from the Primrose patterned paper pad, so that one slightly overlapped the other, then die cut them with the heart die from the Purrfect Pair die set. I really love how it turned out! This paper pad is also a new product, only available in Brianna Estrella's Instructor Bundle, and I'll have it linked in my supply list. It will be available individually after SBCfest.

Both sentiments from the Bold Hello stamp set were stamped using the Catherine Pooler Icing on the Cake ink pad, although the Sassy Pants sentiment was stamped on solid paper from the Primrose paper pad. I hand trimmed both sentiments, as they did not come with coordinating dies.

Lastly I added some additional embellishment on the cat, using a white gel pen and black fine liner pen.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure if my cat turned out to look like a siamese, because I'm also getting Pomeranian dog vibes, haha!  It is a fluffier cat die though. Even so, I'm happy with how it turned out.
