Blog Hop with The Ribbon Resource and Graphic 45

The Ribbon Resource design team and the Graphic 45 design team are hopping this week and there are prizes to be won.  If you love ribbon and paper, you are in the right spot this week!  The Ribbon Resource is giving away three $25.00 gift cards and Graphic 45 is giving away a $60 prize!  Get the details on their blogs.

Today is the last day of the hop, and I've got a Monthly Scrapbook Album that I plan on gifting to a special someone that is getting married soon.   This would be perfect for documenting an entire year for any celebration, a child's birthday and yes, surprisingly, a first year of marriage.  This person is an avid scrapbooker and she's also getting married to her sweetheart from her early school years.  I've got a designated spot on each page to place a photo and do some journaling, plus, I left a little room so she can add mementos of her own for each month.  I'm sharing just a few pages today, along with the album cover.

I sent in my January page as the sneak peek for my album, so I'll start with this.  Graphic 45 was wonderful to send us the Children's Hour collection and in addition, this 8x8 Easel Album.  I cut out the stander portion, and flipped my easel sideways to turn it into a scrapbook album.

I've added lots or ribbons, threading them through the binder rings and tie and knotting strips of the lace and silver glitter dot ribbon.  I've also added some of the silver glitter ribbon across my January title.  It's so pretty in person.

Here's the cover of my album, covered in a polka dot pattern from Children's Hour and embellished with chipboard, lace, mini rosettes and faux burlap ribbon in the center.

On my binder edge, I've threaded red solid wrinkled ribbon and adhered the canvas "handmade with love" printed ribbon with my Xyron adhesive runner.

On my February page, I've got some silver faux burlap peeking out from under my die cut image for the designated photo.  I've added a few papers from the French Country collection as it matches my color scheme as well.

For my April page, I'm using the Turquoise 1/4" Chevron twill ribbon.  It perfectly matches my papers!

Lastly, I'll share the May page.  I've got more chevron twilltwo-tone raffia and gold silky crush ribbon.  This stuff makes the prettiest bows!

Be sure you visit my fellow Ribbonista's that are featured today as well.
