Non-traditonal Shamrock Card

Hello friends, I have a non-traditional Shamrock card today, celebrating my Irish roots. This card features the Stitched Shamrock dies from Pretty Pink Posh, along with four different products from the Scrapbook.com Joyful Collection. Scroll down for brief, creative details, plus a COUPON CODE. I set out to make a colorful, non-traditional Shamrock card, however I also think this could double as a non-traditional card for graduation, retirement, a new job, etc. I ended up choosing some pretty patterned papers from the Scrapbook.com Joyful collection. I also used coordinating solid papers for my layered die cuts, using the word dies from from the Scrapbook.com Congrats Good Luck die set.

My shamrock die cut is also layered with another color and offset just a bit for a silhouette effect.

Next, my center circle was cut using the Scrapbook.com Joyful Shaped die set, Thank you. The circle die also cuts a stitched circle frame, however I didn't use it for this card.

This is an A2 sized vertical card and all of my elements are popped up on adhesive foam.

I love occasionally stepping outside the confines of traditional cardmaking when it comes to making holiday cards. At least I stuck with green for the shamrock, right?  Haha. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day.

Shamrock Good Luck Card

Hello friends. I'm getting in touch with my Irish roots with this shamrock card today. Plus, it's National Craft Month which gives me a good excuse to break out my Brother Crafts Scan n Cut to create the images for this card. I'm also using products from Scrapbook.com Scroll down for brief creative details. You'll find products linked at the end of this post as well.

I purchased my Scan N Cut a  few years ago, as a Christmas gift to myself. It's been one of the most loved tools in my arsenal. I typically cut most of my images on a blade setting of 6 for lightweight cardstock. I also generally work offline so this image is one of the standard images included in my machine's storage. No need to get on the internet! I scaled down my image to the smallest size which was about 1.5" or less and added 9 images. I touched the screen to drag the images where I wanted them and then cut.

I also used my negative template to easily line up my shamrocks on my card, popping each one of them up with a small adhesive foam square.

My sentiment was created using a Scrapbookcom exclusive stamp set called Vintage Type Upper. I used my Misti stamp positioner to stamp one letter at a time on white cardstock to spell "Good Luck". It helps to lay down a piece of low tack tape on the cardstock, such as mint tape, to easily line up your letters evenly. My solid papers are from a variety of Scrapbookcom paper pads (Jewel and Floral) and the gingham plaid was from my stash. I thought this card would be great for other occasions, not typical of St. Patrick's Day; graduations and retirements came to mind.
