It's day 2 of the new release at Two Paper Divas and today, I'm featuring two of the new stamp sets, Afternoon Tea and One Cup at a Time. They're on sale today as well so don't wait, if you're thinking about ordering.
I wanted to make a card that would be gender friendly, appropriate for a guy or girl, so I stuck with mostly neutral tones, for today's project.
I used the TPD background stamps on my books as well, stamping my background stamps on white cardstock, then stamping my Afternoon Tea image on top. I stamped my tea image again separately, so I could fussy cut my cup and add it on top of my colored books. I wanted my books to have that grainy look that old canvas covered books sometimes have. I love how they turned out!
I actually used a mix of Tombow dual brush and Zig Clean Colors for all my coloring. Notice that piece of canvas fabric ribbon under my books? To get that "scrunched" look, run your fabric through a sticker maker (Xyron) and when placed on cardstock, pinch it in sections. And there's your bonus tip for the day!
