Night Before Christmas Sneak Peek from Catherine Pooler

Hello crafty friends. Catherine Pooler Designs has a new release coming out on Wednesday. The Night Before Christmas collection is full of holiday goodness to jumpstart your Christmas cardmaking. I'm featuring several products from this release. Plus, I'm creating custom colored tissue paper with the new Sugarplum ink! Scroll down for details. First, let's talk about the box die that I'm using from the Season's Peekings dies.

I made 2 die cuts with this box die. One with the Sugarplum patterned paper (North Pole Patterned Paper Pack) and one with the Sugarplum ink that had been swiped on white cardstock.

I trimmed the lid off both die cuts to swap out my pieces as pictured below: the Sugarplum inked lid paired with the patterned paper box.

The reason I chose to trim off the lid is because I wanted to create some tissue paper for the inside of the box. This was done by pressing my Sugarplum ink on a craft mat, spritzing with water, then dabbing white Gift wrap tissue paper into the mix. I carefully dried this with a heat craft tool. Just make sure you don't burn your tissue paper. You can also let it dry naturally.

I adhered my tissue paper to the backside of my gift box, and also adhered some extra to my "counter/table top" trimmed papers, from the same paper pack.

The "No Peeking" sentiment is from the Santa's Crew stamp set and perfect for this scene! I also swiped Pistachio ink and Sugarplum ink onto white cardstock for my background papers.

Lastly, I added some sequins from the new Lubek sequin mix that is also releasing on Wednesday. It is an absolutely gorgeous mix! Of course, I never met a CPD custom sequin mix that I didn't LOVE!

This is a small greeting size card, measuring 3.75 x 4.25 inches. I wanted a more intimate space for my gift box, since this is the primary focus of this card.
