Easter Card featuring Erin Lee Creative

I am sooo excited about the new release from Erin Lee Creative! It's called True Story and there are so many wonderful products in this release. Religious cards are some of my most favorite cards to make and I definitely needed some of these products in my life. When I saw the True Story stamp set and that amazing Calvary Die, the exact scene below popped into my head. I wanted to create a beautiful sunset (or sunrise) sky backdrop for the Calvary Die. 

Ranger distress oxide inks are my go-to for this and I used my blender brushes with Kitsch Flamingo, Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade on 80 lb Neenah white cardstock.

. When I initially cut my cross die, I laid down a wide strip of Mint Tape on top of a section of black cardstock where the curve would be cut. Once my cross dies were cut, I peeled off the mint tape which now has a slope design, and adhered it to my card panel to use as a mask for ink blending above the curve.  So easy, really. And mess free! Well, mostly mess free, haha.

Another product that helped create the scene I had in mind is the Burst Hot Foil Die. I recently discovered that you can easily hot foil on top of distress oxide ink. All you have to do is heat set your ink blending with a craft heat tool for about 30 seconds, to make sure it's dry before hot foiling. I use my Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil System for all my hot foiling. It's one of my favorite tools and works so nicely with Erin Lee Creative products. I know, I sound like a commercial but hey, I can't help what I love!

I kept my scenic card pretty simple, with no additional adornment. You really don't need it because the foil is so sparkly and shiny.  

Now, the True Story stamp set has already sold out and been re-stocked twice! I understand that Erin has more on the way so, not to worry. I'm just so happy that this release has not only touched the hearts of cardmakers, but will also touch the hearts of the recipients. HE'S alive! Party Tags for Catherine Pooler Snowrific Release

Eeeek, I'm so excited! The Catherine Pooler Snow-rific Birthday release is live for the entire blogosphere! Party time! This release has so many amazing products that fill that winter gap but also new birthday things that you're going to want in your craft space. I have a pair of party tags to share with you today, so I hope you'll stick around for a minute. Do you typically purchase bundles or just a few things that catch your eye? You might want to spring for the whole thing this time, I'm just sayin'. It's time to treat yourself! Look at all the fun you will have!

I had SOOOO much fun making these tags. I had so many ideas popping and just threw lots of things in the mix. I'm heavily relying on the Party Tag die set for these tags. That small die with all the holes? It makes confetti! Not only that, but I saw Daniel West make a card where he used it to cut a couple rows of holes on his card panel and it looked very cool.

The tag die above breaks off into several pieces; a tag frame, a rectangle frame and a scalloped frame, all of which can be used separately or together.

For my tag below, I used papers from the Daily Grind paper pack. It's one of my faves and that dotted paper reminded me of confetti. I cut my paper with the tag base die then embossed a cut using the rectangle frame, ink blending it lightly before embossing. 

For my cupcake, I used the Extra Frosting stamp and die set using a variety of inks which will all be listed at the end of this post. I ink blended around my cupcake liner for more of a shadow effect. All of these elements were popped up on my tag base with adhesive foam.

Next, I made a shaker tag. I die cut 1 tag base with white cardstock and 1 tag base with a piece of acetate. I lined up my tag base and added the scalloped frame in the center to die cut 2 more things that would leave the center exposed; white cardstock and a piece of adhesive foam sheet.

I stamped my sentiment on the first white tag base that I cut, using masking tape for the ink colored word "favorite". Then I layered the cut adhesive sheet on top, peeling the backing off the back side and adhering to my white base. Make some confetti cuts with the confetti die but not too much (I did add too much!) otherwise, it can get too packed and won't distribute as well when shaking. Once you've centered your confetti in the middle, adhere your acrylic cut. Lastly, carefully apply adhesive to your final  piece, the scalloped white tag.

IMPORTANT: Do not use glue on your adhesive sheet. It will work better to use an adhesive runner or double sided adhesive strips. 

I colored up a cupcake but trimmed the cupcake liner to look more like a bon-bon at the base of my tag. I think it's so cute!

Confetti Birthday Card for Catherine Pooler Designs

Hello friends. The new Catherine Pooler Snow-rific Birthday release went live early today for Stamp Nation members but will available tomorrow, Oct. 12 at 9 am ET for the rest of the world! You might want to bookmark this affiliate link! This release is chock full of wonderful winter and birthday elements. I'm sharing another birthday card today that features the Extra Frosting bundle and believe me, it is all kinds of EXTRA!

I'll be sharing more cards this week featuring the Extra Frosting Bundle. The product links won't be available until 9 am ET tomorrow but the highlighted links will take you directly to the new release.

This A2 sized card features stamps from the Extra Frosting stamp set and the Everybody Say Happy sentiment stamp set which are also included in the Extra Frosting bundle. I'm a huge fan of CAS cards (clean and simple) which is a must when you're in a crunch to make a last minute card or need to whip out multiple cards.

To easily stamp my candles, I used washi tape and lined up the base of each candle at the top edge of tape, prior to stamping with my Misti stamp positioner. That is probably the hardest thing you will do on this card.  I say that tongue in cheek, it's not hard at all! It's pretty easy to stamp confetti above the candles, right? And a sentiment below? I call this a no-brainer card. You could even get the kids involved in stamping!

Now, your best savings are obviously going to be getting a bundle or the entire release which will never go out of style! I'll be sharing some adorable party tags with the Party Tag die set included in this release tomorrow so be sure and check back. I hope you're following me on social media!
