Sunflower Card featuring Erin Lee Creative and Your Paper Insider

Hey crafty friends! I have another card featuring products from the new Giddy Up release at Erin Lee Creative. Once again, I'm pairing those products with the new Your Paper Insider quarterly subscription, Box 11. Scroll down for brief creative details, plus a huge sale! I'm using 3 different products from the ELC Giddy Up release. The Leather Tooling Hot Foil Plate and Yee Haw Word Die can be purchased individually. I also used 3 different cardstocks from the Your Paper Insider Subscription Box 11:

- Vanilla Pearl Cosmo Odean 94 lb weight

- Fairway Metallic Stardream 105 lb weight

- Mai Tai Cocktail Shimmer - 110 lb weight

 

My sunflower die cuts, foiled card panel and Yeehaw wording feature the Mai Tai Cocktail Shimmer cardstock. It's so pretty, shimmery and like a metallic paper. My card panel was also foiled using Spellbinders Espresso Bean hot foil and my Glimmer hot foil system.

 

I did some ink blending around the edges of my sunflowers using Ranger Rusty Hinge distress ink, and the inside of my leaves were ink blended with Catherine Pooler Eucalyptus ink, to offer a little contrast to my green metallic paper.

To embellish my sunflower centers, I added dots of Scrapbookcom Pops of Color in Sunflower.

Yeehaw Celebration Card for Catherine Pooler

Hey friends, I've got another card featuring the Lasso Life collection from Catherine Pooler Designs. I'm using several techniques today, so scroll down for all the details along with my supply list at the end of this post. Plus, a look at the inside of my card!

I really wanted to utilized the pretty blossom and leaf stamps included with the Happy Horseshoes stamp set, so I proceeded to stamp randomly all over a white A2 card panel using my stamp positioner.

The inks I used for stamping are the new colors, Glacier, Cashmere and Succulent. I also used Stone Blue and Goldenrod.

When I finished stamping, I grabbed a small acrylic block and pressed some Glacier ink onto it, dipped a paint brush in water, and mixed a little water into the ink, splattering the mixture around my card panel.

For my large sentiment, I swiped some ink onto white cardstock using Glacier and Goldenrod ink, and made die cuts with the Yeehaw word die, adhering them together slightly offset from one another.

To further embellish my die cuts, I used a bit of Macchiato ink to ink blend around the edges of my word, and a white gel pen to accent the lettering.

I also swiped some Glacier ink onto another white card panel to use as a backing for my stamped panel. Before assembling my card, I scaled down my stamped panel just a bit, saving the trimming for the inside of my card. 

I also added a section of really cool patterned paper to the bottom of my front card panel. I adore patterned papers and like to use them whenever possible on my cards.

 Also, for the inside of my card, I stamped another sentiment from the Happy Horseshoes stamp set with Glacier ink. That Glacier ink is getting a lot of love on this card!

I almost forgot to talk about my horseshoe images! One was die cut using patterned paper from the new Calico Charms paper pack using one of the horseshoe dies. The other was stamped with Glacier ink using one of the horseshoes from the Happy Horseshoe stamp set and cut with the coordinating die. I use my Platinum 6 for all my die cutting.

Since I had a few of the stamped and die cut clovers from my last project, I adhered those onto one of my horseshoes. If you missed the card I made earlier this week, you can check it out here.

Lastly, I found some pretty white sequins in my Reykjavik Sequin Mix that I thought would add a nice little sparkle, and those are scattered about on my card panel. There are a couple of new sequin mixes released in the Lasso Life collection, including Greensboro. I'll have it linked below. It has colors that would be very complimentary to the ink colors that I used today.
