Yes!  You made it to Friday!  All week long, the Prima Ribbonista's from The Ribbon Resource, (the online retail store for May Arts Ribbon) and the design team from Stampendous, are having a super fun blog hop.  Today is the last day and obviously, they saved the best for last, right?  Haha!  Be sure and scroll to the end for prize details.......

I thought I would create two different projects with the same stamp set.  I was sent the Animal Mobile stamp set which includes 11 different stamps and is one of their newer releases.

Now, I could have gone for the obvious and made a colorful rainbow-ish card, as pictured in the stamp set above, but I like to showcase the not so obvious on occasion, and went with a Noah's Ark kind of Zoo-like theme, for my first card.

Yes, I know, there are no sock monkeys on Noah's Ark, haha, but I did it anyway.  Who doesn't love sock monkeys?  I took the mobile "umbrella" stamp and turned it upside down, colored it with the same earth tones that I used for the animals and folded the panels so it would pop out on the card.  I used my Champagne Two-tone Paper Raffia to make an embellishment that resembles a lion's mane, which fits with my theme.

The next product I received was the Summer Shine Embossing Powder.  Oh my.  I love, love, love embossing powders.

This card is very CAS.  I actually don't do a lot of CAS cards so I stepped out of my comfort zone a bit, which is always good to do.

I used a paint dabber and swiped some white distress paint onto my card, sprinkling the powder and heating it, one color and one swipe at a time, so the colors wouldn't mix.  I masked the star stamp to get a shorter length and have them dangle at different levels.

Now for the ribbon, I used the wired Pom Poms.  Just trim a 3" section, twist your pom poms together, then pull and stretch out the pom poms to "fluff" it up and hot glue it to make clouds.
So easy!

The Ribbon Resource is giving away three $25.00 gift cards, plus Stampendous is giving away a prize pack as well.  Be sure you comment on all the stops Monday through Friday of this week.  If you missed the previous days, here are some links to help you out:
