Waving My Wand: Floral Friendship Cards for Spellbinders

Spellbinders is introducing a new release today called Floral Friendship. I've created several cards with this release and I hope you'll scroll down for a look! I'm also sharing creative details, and you'll find the products that I used linked at the end of this post.

For the cards that I've made today, I'm creating with 4 products from the Floral Friendship collection; the 6x6 paper pad, die cut images, die cut sentiments and dimensional butterflies. I'm also using a couple other Spellbinder products with some of these cards.

For the card above, I trimmed some cardstock from my stash that coordinated with the pretty floral papers and adhered this as the base for my A2 sized card. Next, I trimmed that gorgeous paper from the Floral Friendship paper pad, then layered die cuts and the sentiment on top, some of which are popped up on adhesive foam for added dimension.

Next up, this bright card pops against my white patterned paper from the paper pad. The diamond centerpiece was created using my Spellbinders essential diamond dies and I die cut the larger one using an adhesive foam sheet, peeling off the top liner and applying that pretty lavender Glimmer hot foil. The hot foil works great with regular adhesives, it's not just for use with the Glimmer hot foil system!

My top diamond layer was cut from patterned paper from the collection and adhered to my foiled diamond. I added a variety of die cut shapes and popped up my die cut sentiment as well. I also glued on some sequins that I had leftover from one of my Spellbinders card kits.

I adore the patterned paper on the card above and definitely wanted to incorporate it with those gorgeous dimensional butterflies. I also applied a strip of double sided adhesive tape along the diagonal line of my trimmed paper, then applied gold foil from my Glimmer hot foil roll.

There are quite a few foiled sentiments and die cut shapes in this collection and I struggled getting a good photo of that sentiment but it is so pretty in person! I also glued on more sequins for added sparkle.

For my last card, I selected a pair of papers from the paper pad that I thought would coordinate well together. I used that pretty plum paper for my base, then die cut the green paper using my Platinum 6 and the Floral Reflections etched die set.

All of my elements came together very quickly for this card by simply framing the two corners with various die cuts. Such a pretty and easy card to make!
