Latte Love Shaker Card for Catherine Pooler Designs

Hey crafty friends! The new Stay Cozy collection from Catherine Pooler Designs is now live! My caffeinated heart couldn't be happier. Of course, there's plenty of other holiday goodness in this collection too. I've made a fun little shaker card so scroll down for creative details. I decided I wanted to do some masking and stamping with the two mugs on the front of my card, having them slightly overlap one another, and then hand trim them together. All my stamped images are from the new Cup of Cheer stamp set. Initially I was thinking of doing a one layer card but went in another direction.

The masking also included taping over where the rim of the cup would be, so I could stamp my whipped cream.

From my stash, I grabbed my CPD Around the Loop dies. This is what I used to create my shaker element and also as a layering for my backdrop, using the Stay Cozy patterned papers.

With the smallest loop die, I ran white cardstock through my Platinum 6 die cut system, then stamped the mistletoe at draped angles and did some ink blending around the edges.

I typically glue a few sequins to the shaker element, then add the remaining sequins.

I grabbed some green burlap string from my stash and fashioned a cute bow. It's really easy to make. I trim a long piece then make a triple loop 3 times, securing it with a tiny piece of wire.

To embellish my bow, I hot glued one of the snow flake sequins from the new CPD Whistler sequin mix (also part of my shaker) and sprinkled on some of the Cotton Candy Sprinkles Glitter by WOW. It's available in the CPD shop too and is one of my favorite glitters in my stash. It goes with EVERYTHING!

For some extra fun factor, I jazzed up the inside of my card too. I mean, come one, it's a Christmas card, let's make it extra special, right?

 Lastly, I split my sentiment, stamping the top line and adding the .... at the end with a fine liner black pen. Then I stamped the bottom section for the inside of my card.

Polished, Aquatini, Over Coffee, Macchiato (mugs, mistletoe, coffee, whipped cream)

S'mores (sentiment)

Wintergreen (ink blending)
