Happy Friday, friends!  It's always a happy day around here when Friday comes rolling around and I thought it fitting to share a happy card, created with some brand new products from Adornit.  I know you're probably seeing a lot of Halloween and Fall creations these days, however, October also brings a lot of pink colors to the forefront, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness.  I've shared my story in the past, as my mom and sister are both survivors, thankfully.  We've participated in various local events that support BCA and I'm always happy to do so.

I've colored up one of the new images from the Adornit Art Play collection, titled, "Blessings". The Blessings collection was designed by owner and artist/designer, Carolee McMullin and includes 10 different images.  Do you love pineapples?  How about owls?  Miss Carolee has got you covered, haha!  This image is the perfect size for creating your own bookmark but I thought I would pair nicely with these brand new Adornit scrapbook papers, designed by Laura Kelly, called Hot Pink Dots.  It's double sided so I'm showcasing both sides which were the perfect colors to accent my colored image.  I've also embellished with Adornit's green polka dot ribbon trim.

These products are so new, they're currently making their way to independent scrapbook/craft stores across the country.  If you can't find these products in your local scrapbook store, ask them to carry Adornit products.  They are so fun!  You won't find Adornit in the big box hobby stores but they will be available soon at adornit.com and you can also find Adornit products at scrapbook.com.  So keep checking back.  I love that these images are classic and timeless.  They never go out of style.

These watercolor paper images take most any medium; colored pencils, paint, watercolors, markers.... I'm using the Tombow dual brush markers on my project today, with a white gel pen, and my waterbrush to distribute some of the color.

Shine On with Adornit Art Play Paintables

(FTC disclosure: I have been compensated in product and all opinions are my own.  I only promote products that I use and love.)
News Flash:  Did you know Adornit Art Play Paintables were introduced in 2014?  Did you also know that everyone (and their brother) has tried to copy their formula ever since?  Well, that's my opinion at least.  Carolee McMullins is the owner/designer at Adornit and, once again, created a trend that others have tried to imitate.

Adornit has always been an innovator in the creative market with products that range from specialty fabrics, wood products, designer papers and of course, the Art Play line which includes coloring books, coloring planners and more.  Not to mention, the Adornit Shoppes and their clothing line!

Carolee McMullins knows that, in order to be successful, you must surround yourself with like minded people, judging by the success of her company and the designers that she partners with; Lindsay Ostrom, Michelle Hamilton and Stephanie Ackerman.

I was excited to color up this flamingo image, from the "Shine On" Art Play.  You'll be seeing more from me in the coming weeks, however, here's a close-up of my colored image.  I used Tombows and watercolored much of it, including those fun polka dots in various colors.  You can see by the photo above, that I took some liberty with the cup and straw, adding watercolored stripes to my straw and green polka dots on my cup.  I actually modeled that cup after a set of green polka dot glassware that I have at home.

You can shop for all of the Adornit Play Products, here.

Look for the new Art Play Paintables to be in stores soon.  Be sure you're in the know by following Adornit on their social media.   Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by!  Terri
