Enjoy the Moments with TPD Stamps plus The Hop to Stop

Today's project is two-fold; I'm featuring the new Everyday Sentiments 4 stamp set from Two Paper Divas, and I'm also going purple for a very special cause - The Hop to Stop Domestic Violence.

First, let me share a few key details about this mixed media project.  I've done some texture stenciling on designer paper, using Inka Gold and also watercolored purple distress ink onto my watercolor paper, cut with stitched dies and stenciled Bo Bunny Pearlescent onto my watercolored border.

I also inked up some white tulle with my purple distress ink, then burned it with my heat embossing tool to create a little messy, fun accent to my floral focus.

My sentiment was heat embossed and popped up on foam squares.  I thought this was an appropriate sentiment for the Hop to Stop event.  Life is precious and we need to take the time to enjoy every single moment of it.  My life was touched by domestic violence as a child and I shared my story last year at the Hop to Stop.  Thankfully, my mother saw to it that her three children would no longer be exposed to violence and started a new life for us.  I'm thankful that those early life experiences didn't define me but rather helped me to become a strong and independent woman.  My husband says I wear the pants in the family and I hate to admit it, but I kind of do.  Haha, I'm not alone am I, ladies?

  1. Wow. I'm in love with this. Literally, if I could take it down the aisle and put a ring on it, I would. For now, though, I'll just admire it from afar. The texture is SO amazing! I love how you've taken juxtaposing textures and married them together so well. Thank you, my friend, for being a strong voice on this Hop to Stop! <3
