Welcome to the brand new release from Graciellie Design and Unity Stamps! Gracie has her own licensed designs with the Unity Stamp Company and today, I'm featuring one of the stamp sets in the new release from Unity called, "Simple Wisdom". I love the sentiments included in this set as they are such encouraging words and we all need a little encouragement sometimes in life, right? Scroll down to find out more and don't forget that prizes are being offered up by Unity; 3 winners will each receive a stamp set prize pack! Be sure and leave comments all along the blog hop to qualify to win.
These blossoms are so easy to color and can be switched up for multiple themes. I'm going for a Fall/Autumn look with my card today, which also features the Hello Fall papers from Carta Bella Paper. Want to know more about how I made my flowers and vase?
I used a very light ink swiped on my vase and black ink on my flowers, onto Strathmore Mixed Media vellum surface paper. Stamp one more time, so you can fussy cut some stems and a flower and pop out with foam for a three dimensional look later.
Next, heat emboss the vase only by masking and stamping on vellum, using gray pigment ink and clear embossing powder. Color your flowers (Marvy Le Plume II brush markers) and fussy cut, including the faint outline of the vase. I'm using my Titanium fine tipped Westcott Brand scissors, because they are so great at intricate cuts. They're my favorites!
To get the look of water in my vase, I sponged on Ranger Ink Broken China distress oxide ink, not completely covering my jar, and splatted water droplets, then blotted. To adhere to my flower colored cardstock, I wanted a little dimension in between and wanted it to be as even as possible. Grab a popsicle stick and add a generous amount of hot glue. You'll need to work quickly. I'm using the Westcott Brand Hot Glue Pen for this as well. Swipe the glue quickly across your cardstock from the lid on down. It's ok if it seeps off the edge of the cardstock. Add your vellum vase overlay and gently press into the hot glue. Once dry, trim the excess glue off the edges. At this point, I added my additional popped up fussy cut stems and a flower. I also applied Nuvo Morning Dew clear crystal drops and heated with my craft heat tool to give a glazed finish. Embellish your vase if desired. I wrapped some burlap string around my vase lid, tying off a bow and hot glued a tiny pearl-like gem.
Unity Stamps is known world-wide for their quality products and it's no surprise that they did a superb job, taking Gracie's digital designs and turning them into fabulous red rubber stamps! I've been a fan and user of Unity products for years so I am tickled pink to be offered the chance to work with these amazing designs. Check out all the new stamp sets just released, right here at Unity Stamps, including holiday designs! You will also find the digital versions in Gracie's Etsy shop.
Since I'm your last stop on the hop, if you missed any stops along the way, be sure and head back to the beginning, at Gracie's blog. Thanks so much for stopping by and good luck! We will be having an inspiration blog hop on October 16th so be sure and check back again, for more inspiration featuring this release. See you next time! Terri
