Halloween Week at Scrapbook.com!

Hey friends, I have this fun card to share in celebration of Halloween Week at Scrapbook.com! They were kind enough to send me some supplies recently that included the Spooky Patterned Paper Pad and the Spooky Stamp Set. I had so much fun playing with these goodies! I had a scene in mind that I wanted to create and I think I pulled it off. Scroll down for creative details. You'll find my clickable shopping supply list at the end of this post, as well. There's a coupon code and freebies too!

First, let me state the obvious. The hills have eyes!  Haha! Sorry, couldn't help myself. The movie is creepy, don't watch it! Moving along......

This card is a mix of an inky Ranger Ink background, paired with stamping and fun papers.

My card is just a tad bigger than an A2 size. I started by ink blending a larger trimmed piece of cardstock, so I could scale down if I needed to. My measurements are 5 1/2" W x 4 1/2" H.

I used Ranger Inks for my blended background; Distress Oxide Ink in Fossilized Amber and Wilted Violet, and Distress Ink in Carved Pumpkin.

I started by ink blending my upper two-thirds of my panel with the Carved Pumpkin, then the lower portion with Fossilized Amber. Then, I went all around the entire outer portion of my panel blending in the Wilted Violet.

I unscrewed the cap of my Ranger/Dylusions Black Marble shimmer spray and tapped droplets from the feeder tube all over. I love the look!

My sentiment was stamped with half black hybrid ink and half Ranger Carved Pumpkin. You really need a stamp positioner to pull this off, to get multiple inkings with greater depth.

I also had to use the masking technique to cover parts of my stamp when stamping. When I was finished, I went in with a black marker and created a "drippy" look at the base of the black ink on the word "spooky".

I did not have the coordinating dies for this stamp set so I fussy cut all my images, including my sentiment. I will have the stamp/die set linked in my supply list though, if you'd like to purchase it.

I love all the fun elements with this stamp set. Some of my trimmed elements are adhered directly, and some are popped up on adhesive foam strips. That little curvy road leading from the house is a solid paper included in the Spooky patterned paper pad. I simply traced some curves onto the paper, then trimmed it out.

I also hand trimmed the sloped creepy eyes hillside! My black background paper is from the Playful Paper Pad. My stamped images were colored with artist markers using mostly oranges, yellows, grays, black and purple.

I also used a toothpick dipped in my Soft Lavender Pops of Color, for those tiny "lights" hanging off the roof of my haunted house.

Thanks so much for popping in. I've provided convenient affiliate links below at no additional cost to you. If you would pretty please use them, if shopping, I would appreciate it so much. I do receive a few cents per dollar and hey, it adds up and helps support the giveaways that I sponsor on social media, and sometimes buy a coffee after sweating over a card! Haha.

Be sure and use coupon code FREESHIPPING for orders of $69.00. This code expires on 7/17/24 at midnight MST. Stop by the coupon section for details and to add the current free add-on gifts to your cart. As of this writing, there's a Halloween stamp set for free, and a Christmas stocking die. Supplies are limited!

See you next time,

Terri
