Today is a super exciting day for me. Not only is it the super fabulous holiday release at
So Suzy Stamps, with 31 new holiday stamps, but it's also my debut, with several designs of my own! I couldn't be more thrilled and I'm so happy to have so many supportive folks in my corner to help see this through. I'm sharing 2 projects today from the new release, including the first card which features my own designs, the
wreath and
Joy sentiment. I know this is a lengthy post but stick around because there are some promotion discounts being offered and freebies with purchase!
First, I've cut a large stitched die circle on Strathmore mixed media paper and stamped and heat embossed my wreath with Nuvo Hot chocolate embossing powder and watercolored it with Marvy Le Plume II markers, adding tiny dots of Decoart Cotton Ball white paint with a small paintbrush. My papers are from Echo Park Paper's A Perfect Christmas collection.

Next, I'm featuring a couple of Olesya Kharkova's designs for So Suzy Stamps. This
bowl/globe can be used either as a fish bowl or a snowglobe. How awesome is that?
I used the image as a snowglobe, stamping with Versamark watermark ink onto Strathmore watercolor paper, then heat embossing with Ranger White embossing powder, and watercoloring with my Ranger distress oxide inks. I gave a water effect by using my water brush to dilute some of the color, blotting with a paper towel.
I embossed the new snowflake stamps as well because it's a snowglobe and there must be snow! To color my trees and cottage, I used my Vintage Photo oxide, and for the trees, I mixed my Broken China Oxides with my Fossilized Amber distress ink to get that green color. Yes, yellow and blue make green! I also splattered the entire front of my card with a wet toothbrush dipped in Decoart Cotton Ball satin paint to get more of a snow effect. Just rub your thumb across the paint dipped toothbrush to splatter. Make sure you do this in a box so you don't make a mess of your craft space!
I added a small thin strip of black cardstock and rounded the corners, as a base for my snowglobe. I wanted to make it into a shaped card, so I traced around my fussy cut snowglobe, adding a little hand drawn tab at the top that can be folded over and adhered to the back of my front image. Then I stamped my inside with the globe stamp, a sentiment and more snowflakes. The sticker on the outside (as pictured in first photo) is from the
Echo Park Paper Hello Winter collection.
