One of my favorite things to do for beach cards is tear paper. It makes water look wavy and sand, more textured. For my beach themed card above, I trimmed some blue/green patterned paper from the kit for water then tore some of the beige patterned paper. It definitely adds more interest to the scene don't you think? It's one of the easiest things you can do to add a little extra something to a card. Also, if you're needing to relieve a little stress, hey, tearing paper helps, haha!

The kit elements for the card above include:
Patterned paper
Enamel dots
Ephemera/die cuts
White card panel
Puffy sticker sentiment
Card/adhesive

We have some amazing beaches on the Gulf in my home state. You're bound to see beach houses on stilts. I thought these cool, sketchy house die cuts from the kit should be popped up on stilts! I trimmed the beige patterned paper in the kit to create a boardwalk and stilts, with a pretty, wavy walkway in pink. The patterned fish paper worked perfectly for my scene as well.

Kit elements for the card above include:

Patterned paper
Epoxy word stickers
Puffy sentiment sticker
Chipboard heart sticker
Die Cuts
Card/adhesive

Next up, I have an ocean themed scenic card. Again, I'm tearing paper which makes it look like waves. It's such a fun effect! I've popped up my fish die cuts from the kit on adhesive foam squares, along with my clouds. The other elements are adhered directly to my card. I used some of the enamel dots as bubbles for my fish.

Kit elements for this card include:

Patterned paper
Die Cuts
Chipboard stickers
Puffy sentiment stickers
Enamel Dots
Card/adhesive

There are lots of elements in this kit that are not beach themed, including ice cream, florals, rainbows and more. I decided to do a rainbow themed card with lots of white space. My rainbow focal point includes a background of patterned paper trimmed to a square, with a trimmed white card panel and rainbow die cut also mounted on adhesive foam. I added some enamel dots varying the colors across the top of the rainbow and added a couple chipboard sentiment stickers. This colorful card definitely gives me all the smiles!

Spellbinders June Quick and Easy Card Kit

It's June 1st and time to share card samples that I made from the June Spellbinders Quick & Easy Card Kit! The name of this month's kit is called "A Little Hello" and has so many fun elements to create with! Scroll down for a few brief details on each card - I have four to show you.

I'm really crushing on the blue elements in this card kit and used that color scheme on several of my cards. For my first card above I tore some of the patterned paper and adhered it to my white A2 card, scattering blue butterflies all around.

The elements I used from the kit are: die cuts, patterned paper, 3D butterfly stickers, sequins from the shaker mix, chipboard frames and chipboard stickers.

Spellbinders included some lovely tea elements and if you know me, you know I love my tea! I trimmed the dark blue card panel included in the kit and adhered to my card, and also trimmed a strip of patterned paper, running my scissors along the edge to distress it.

Elements for this card also include: die cuts, sequins, chipboard stickers,

I made a cute little shaker focal point for the card above, using the shaker mixer included in the kit. I even used some of the plastic butterfly packaging to trim my acrylic shaker cover and adhered it to the backside of my chipboard frame. I thought it would be cute to let the little fox's tail and feet poke out as well. I adhered it to my plaid patterned paper before sealing my shaker focal point.

Other elements include: chipboard stickers, sequins, die cuts, card panel

Lastly, I created a little scene with die cuts and chipboard stickers. Again, I tore some of the green patterned paper to make some "hills". The kit comes with two different shades of green paper so it really worked nicely to have different shades in my scene. I also trimmed one of my dark blue card panels for the bottom edge of my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by. You can view all the various club subscription kits from Spellbinders here. The window to join, for new subscribers is June 6th. You can cancel at any time and are under no obligation! Have a great day!

Spring Bunny Card for Spellbinders

I have another card today, featuring the Spellbinders Quick and Easy Card Kit, Spring Delight. This sweet little bunny in a tea cup has my heart and I knew I wanted to use this as my focal point. Scroll down for a few brief, creative details.

I often like to create Spring cards with a lot of white space and a pop of color. For this card. I trimmed that pretty black and white patterned paper from the card kit and adhered to my card., Then trimmed and applied a strip of blue cardstock from one of the card panels in the kit.

Next, I chose some floral accents to frame my bunny. Some are adhered flat and some are popped up on adhesive foam.

I also added some pretty sequins from the kit for a little shimmer and shine. I love that a lot of the die cuts and stickers have gold foiled accents too.

Lastly, the sentiment was from a sticker sheet in the kit and I backed it with some cardstock and popped it up on adhesive foam. This card kit is intended for quick and easy cardmaking and it definitely lives up to it's name! There are several tea/coffee elements in this kit as well which is a plus for this coffee/tea lover! Check out all the club kits here. The new subscriber window opens on Feb. 6th.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Stay crafty!
