3 Quick Fall Cards for Spellbinders

Hey friends, I'm back with 3 more cards featuring the Spellbinders September Quick & Easy Card Club Kit, "Jump Into Fall".  I really love making scenic cards and Spellbinders makes it so easy; there's so many elements to choose from too! My first two cards are scenic, my third card is created with non-traditional fall colors and the last card was one I shared earlier in the week, and am dropping it in, in case you missed it. For some reason I'm feeling super chatty today. I'm also sharing some insight into how I choose and sort my elements when making choices for a scene, plus some key styles that I turn to often. If that interests you, please scroll on down!

If I had to guess, I'd say there are at least 200 die cut elements in this kit, maybe more. When choosing which cuts I want to use, I usually spread them all out and then group them by theme. So, all the florals go together, all the critters go to together and so on.

I immediately knew I wanted to create a little outdoor scene when I was sifting and found the trees, house and pick-up truck. I started by hand cutting some of the patterned paper into slopes for hills and a flat strip for my "road.

Everything else quickly came together, as well. It's hard to read the words on the chipboard sentiment below the house, due to it being gold foiled and the angle of my shot. It says "Love Lives Here".

The kit items that I used for the card above include:
White A2 card, adhesive, die cuts, chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, patterned paper.

Even though Spellbinders did NOT consult me when designing this kit (haha), they once again included tea and coffee elements which I absolutely love.  I can guarantee that 99% of the time, I'm going to make a little kitchen scene with these products. I can't help it! It's so easy and fun and who doesn't love coffee or tea?

I will rarely use a card panel as my base for these type cards. I prefer to just lay the scene directly on the card. It also makes for a larger scene by doing so.

I first chose my "wallpaper" (patterned paper) then worked out my previously chosen die cuts for my scene. The little fruit basket was the perfect accent too!

I also frequently will use a trimmed strip of solid cardstock for my "table top" or counter space. There's some lovely dark green card panels included in this kit which was perfect.

Elements from this kit used:

A2 white card, adhesive, die cuts, patterned paper, chipboard stickers, sequins, card panel

**There is a pack of black sequins in various sizes included in this kit. They are going to work great for Halloween cards too!

For my card above, I started with the fox. He's so adorable and I knew I wanted to use him. I chose a patterned paper from the kit and lots of leaf and floral die cuts. This kit has lots of traditional fall colors but also some non-traditional fall colors as well.

Since there are so many colors behind my fox, I wanted him to stand out a bit more. I adhered him close to the edge of a brown card panel included in the kit, then trimmed along the edge of the card panel, following the lines of the fox, only on the left side. This gives a little shadow effect which I find very appealing.

Oh, and there's more coffee....and a pumpkin. Had to throw that on there too! There's also a lovely pink card panel included in the kit that I used behind my card panel. My sentiment is a chipboard sticker and it looks kind of like a note torn from a paper pad. I backed it with some of the brown card panel to give it more definition.

Kit elements used on the card above:

A2 white card, card panels, adhesive, die cuts, chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, sequins

I shared the above card made from the kit, earlier in the week. If you missed it you'll find creative details here.

August Quick & Easy Cards for Spellbinders

August has arrived and so have the club subscription kits at Spellbinders! Today, I'm sharing 4 cards featuring the August Quick & Easy Card club kit, "The Fun Life".  There are so many bold, colorful elements in this kit and I absolutely love it!

My first card features a pretty floral patterned paper and butterfly die cuts. There's enough product in this kit to create 8 cards and still have tons leftover!

Other kit elements used for this card:
Cardstock panel, cardstock stickers, adhesive and white A2 card

Since I had a leftover trim from that patterned paper, I decided to make another card with the same elements but different, as pictured below. I also decided to emboss my card panel using my 3D  embossing folder, Tile Reflections, with my Platinum 6.

I also had some trimmed edges from some of the card panels used on this and another card further down. I decided to utilized those strips, rather than toss them. They made a pretty, striped backdrop for my butterfly!

Both of my floral papers on the two cards above are popped up on adhesive foam, as are my butterflies.

Next, is this deliciously bright card. There are several ice cream elements in this kit which makes my sweet tooth happy. That pretty pastel, watercolor style paper is one of the patterned papers included in this months kit. It's so gorgeous!

The ice cream die cut also has little gold flecks around the rim, in additional to the colorful dots. The other elements that I used are:

Trimmed patterned paper, floral die cuts, puffy stickers, sequins, adhesive, A2 white card

Lastly, I have this pretty floral card that features some gorgeous plaid patterned paper and a green card panel from the kit. I trimmed the plaid paper at an angle, and my floral die cuts covered it nicely.

Other elements include:

Die cuts, chipboard stickers, sequins, adhesive, white A2 card

Beach and Rainbow Cards for Spellbinders

The July Spellbinders Quick & Easy Club Card Kit is out and you can join the club today! I have four cards to share with you featuring this months kit, "Sweet & Cool". This kit has all the summer themed elements you could want. Enough to make 8 cards and have lots of leftovers too! If you like to tear paper, stick around!

(FTC Disclosure: as an affiliate for various companies in the craft industry, I will receive a small commission for purchases made through my convenient affiliate links, at no additional cost to you.)

One of my favorite things to do for beach cards is tear paper. It makes water look wavy and sand, more textured. For my beach themed card above, I trimmed some blue/green patterned paper from the kit for water then tore some of the beige patterned paper. It definitely adds more interest to the scene don't you think? It's one of the easiest things you can do to add a little extra something to a card. Also, if you're needing to relieve a little stress, hey, tearing paper helps, haha!

The kit elements for the card above include:
Patterned paper
Enamel dots
Ephemera/die cuts
White card panel
Puffy sticker sentiment
Card/adhesive

We have some amazing beaches on the Gulf in my home state. You're bound to see beach houses on stilts. I thought these cool, sketchy house die cuts from the kit should be popped up on stilts! I trimmed the beige patterned paper in the kit to create a boardwalk and stilts, with a pretty, wavy walkway in pink. The patterned fish paper worked perfectly for my scene as well.

Kit elements for the card above include:

Patterned paper
Epoxy word stickers
Puffy sentiment sticker
Chipboard heart sticker
Die Cuts
Card/adhesive

Next up, I have an ocean themed scenic card. Again, I'm tearing paper which makes it look like waves. It's such a fun effect! I've popped up my fish die cuts from the kit on adhesive foam squares, along with my clouds. The other elements are adhered directly to my card. I used some of the enamel dots as bubbles for my fish.

Kit elements for this card include:

Patterned paper
Die Cuts
Chipboard stickers
Puffy sentiment stickers
Enamel Dots
Card/adhesive

There are lots of elements in this kit that are not beach themed, including ice cream, florals, rainbows and more. I decided to do a rainbow themed card with lots of white space. My rainbow focal point includes a background of patterned paper trimmed to a square, with a trimmed white card panel and rainbow die cut also mounted on adhesive foam. I added some enamel dots varying the colors across the top of the rainbow and added a couple chipboard sentiment stickers. This colorful card definitely gives me all the smiles!
