Harry Potter DIY Sticky Note Pads

New Release Plus Harry Potter Stamps

I found a free DIY Marauder's Map online here, and scaled it down to just the one section that I printed for my card.

I tore the printed paper and did a good bit of blending with my Ranger Ink Vintage Photo distress oxide and Brushed Corduroy distress ink with a dauber and for the edging.  This same process was used for my sentiment which was popped up with foam circles from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  I used my Misti to help with stamping those footsteps too.

Harry Potter ATC Peek-A-Boo Card for Paper House Productions

Hello Potterheads!  Terri here, with a fun ATC (artist trading card) that features the Harry Potter chibi washi tape.  The peek-a-boo feature is perfect for all your potter loving friends and family!  Big kids and little kids are going to love making these.  ATC cards are kind of like baseball cards; you collect them and trade them with your friends, and they're typically sized 2.5 x 3.5 inches.

My card consists of a black base cardstock trimmed to the dimensions mentioned above, with the second, brick panel trimmed to 1/4" less in dimension.  I found this amazing brick paper from the Delish Paper Kit that was perfect and reminded me of the secret entrance to Diagon Alley.  Paper House also has another really great brick paper, here.  The bricks look smaller, so you may have to trim out larger sections for your peek-a-boo windows.

Leave your corners square, or use a corner round punch, as I've done.  

A craft knife is perfect for trimming random sections of the brick for your peek-a-boo scenes.  Just trim the sides and bottom of your brick so the flap can fold up.  To easily line up your washi tape, tack some tape to the ends of your strip so it will simply adhere to the back of your brick slot.  Easy!

I also used many elements from the Harry Potter planner sticker set and micro stickers.  I have them all popped up for dimension, using my Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L foam circles.

I also used a Potter themed sentiment from my stash which is available here.  Simply stamp in a random pattern on the brick, using Colorbox Wicked Black ink and a masking technique.

Hogwarts, Wizards and Wands

Hello to all my Potterhead friends!  Today, I'm sharing this magical card for Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps. We are still loving the Harry Potter stamps from the last release and today, I've paired a sentiment from that release, along with this castle.  Seriously, these two go together like peanut butter and jelly!  I'll have links scattered throughout this post if you'd like to shop.  But first, let me share some details on how I created this card.  It truly was very easy!

I used a big circle stencil and placed it over a piece of watercolor paper, large enough to cut out a 

3"x 3" circle  with my circle dies, after I was done   Using my Misti, I stamped Catherine Pooler ink using the Sandcastle color with my castle stamp.  I relied on my Ranger Ink distress ink for the sky colors, since I had the colors that I need for my night sky, Wilted Violet Oxide ink and Chipped Sapphire distress ink.  Both were blended then splattered with water and blotted with a paper towel.   I also colored my my castle with a water brush and Ranger Ink Vintage Photo ink and a Zig Real Clean color brush marker in gray.

For the ground, I used Catherine Pooler midnight and a dauber to sponge on the ink and used a white gel pen and bits of glitter and glue to make it look like fireflies flitting about the ground.  White paint is dotted onto my night sky for stars.  I also colored the windows in the castle to give off a light effect.  The cloud behind the castle was also colored with a touch of gray.

My sentiment was inked onto black cardstock with my new white pigment ink.  If you want to get a really good inking, use your Misti stamp positioner to ink your sentiment a few times but be sure and use a heat tool to dry your ink between each stamping.  I only do this with pigment ink because it does take a little longer to dry.  This will give a really nice brilliant white.  Because it's pigment ink though, and this ink was really juicy, I decided to heat set it with clear embossing powder so it wouldn't smudge.  A strip of Harry Potter washi tape is lined just below my black border.  Everything is adhered with my EZ Grand Runner from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.
