Quick and Easy Cheater Card with Free Cut Files

Let me tell you why I call this a cheater card.  This card took less than 10 minutes to make.  Once I cut my floral card front with my Cricut, along with the included scored A2 sized card cut file, it was a matter of finding a great piece of patterned paper for the backing.  In this case, papers from the Paper House Production Marbleous collection.  Yup, I cheated.

Sure, you can make your own amazing backgrounds with alcohol inks or marbling mediums.  However, I want to show you how fast you can throw a card together.  Cut the file, adhere the gorgeous paper, then adhere to your scored card.  Done and done.  It doesn't get any easier than that.  Plus, this is great for when you need to make a bundle of cards in a hurry.  You can always adhere a little bling if you like.  I dotted on some Nuvo glitter drops where you see the small circles and on the dotted "i".  Oh, and I did use some circle punches and trimmed to fit on top of my flower centers.

Birthday Week at Paper House Productions

It's birthday week at Paper House Productions and I've created a modern card for the occasion.  With the sleek geometrics and poured paint design from the Marbleous paper collection, this card is very neutral and gender friendly.  I've kept the accents to a minimum for that reason.

The Marbleous collection is one of my favorites.  Each double sided page is absolutely stunning, many of which have gold foiled accents.  I used the Pink Marble and Marbleous Borders for my card.

To tie in the birthday element, I added 3D balloon stickers and a popped up sentiment.

The Happy Birthday 2 3D stickers have just the right amount of elegance for my card, without being too over the top.

I wanted the side edges to have a focal point all their own, so I paired the trimmed geometric cardstock from the collection as a side border, along with a strip of extreme tape from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, which I foiled for additional shimmer.  The opposing side was edged with a scalloped steel die and my die cut machine.
