Floral 3D Embossing for Spellbinders

Hey friends, I've created a card for Spellbinders today, featuring the new Floral For You 3D Emboss and Cut Folder from the Sealed 3D Botanical Collection. This was such an easy card to make and if you scroll down, I'll tell you all about it! I'll do my best to be brief.

Have you tried the emboss/cut folders? I love them! It makes creating so easy, because you emboss and place your die in the outline of the folder. When you run it through your die cut system, it embosses and cuts at the same time. It's such a great time saving feature.

For my A2 size card, I wanted to keep it simple, so I did some finger painting on my embossed die cuts with Ranger/Simon Hurley Solar Paste in Golden Hour. It dries super fast too. It actually looks a little more silver in these photos, but I'm ok with that.

I'll have a one minute speed reel up on my Instagram and Tiktok, so you can see the finger painting process. It's simply a matter of painting the raised edges of the embossing!

My cardstocks are Cosmic Sky and Sage, also from Spellbinders. I embossed my layered card panel with the Sage cardstock and the March Embossing Folder of the Month, "Classic Backdrop". 

Please note, because of photo editing, my pictures are brighter. The cardstocks I'm using are a tad bit darker than what you see in my photos.

A few weeks ago, I foiled a batch of sentiments using the new Curved Everyday Sentiments Hot Foil/Die Set with my Glimmer Hot Foil System. I grabbed one of those and popped it up on adhesive foam and also glued some Spellbinders sequins, then called it a day.

Warm Wishes Mugs Card

I have another Christmas in July themed card that I'm linking to the Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge. The challenge this month is to use coffee and stars, or you can also make it cocoa or tea themed. You can get the challenge details here.

I wanted to get some more use out of my new Hot & Cold Drinks stamp set from Inkblot shop, but also use up some older products from my stash.

I started by stamping my coffee mug on cardstock, masking a portion of the stamped image with my mint tape from Scrapbook.com, then offsetting another mug and stamping again. I really love the mint tape because it's less tacky and won't tear your cardstock when peeling, and it get's the job done!

Next, I colored my mugs with the Copic markers listed below. I enhanced my coffee with a white gel pen for a swirling cream look.

I did some ink blending above and below my mugs with Ranger distress oxide ink in Faded Jeans, using my new Scrapbookcom Blending Brushes, then stenciled in some Solar Paste in Golden Hour with my Scrapbook.com layered stencil, Starburst.

Speaking of using up items in your stash, I pulled out some older Simple Stories stickers and applied those to my mugs, embellishing with some Silver Glitter Pops of Color. It's a little hard to see in  these photos but I did share a video in my Instagram stories if you caught that.  I also used some older woodgrain paper. I'm not sure, but I think it's from a retired Echo Park Paper collection.

Lastly, my sentiment is from the Inkblot Shop Sweet Times Sentiment stamp set, also a new product in their shop. It has a TON of amazing sentiments for so many occasions!

Coffee Mugs Christmas Card

Hello friends. I've been enjoying some extra time off from work this week, having a stay-cation at home. The latest challenge from my friends over at Caffeinated Christmas is live and I was happy to have some extra time to play along and link up. The theme this month is coffee and stars. Your card can be coffee, tea or cocoa themed, but must be Christmas themed as well. I went with traditional red and green colored Christmas mugs. Click my link above for the challenge details.

My card prominently features these products from Inkblot Shop; the mug stamps from the Hot & Cold Drinks stamp set and sentiment from the Sweet Times Sentiment stamp set. 

My first cup on the card was paper pieced with the Hot Cocoa paper pad in my stash from American Crafts, which is retired. My woodgrain paper is also from that set. I colored the rest of my mugs with Copic markers and stenciled or stamped on the mugs. My red mug below has stars stamped on it from the Inkblot Shop Grounded stamp set. I filled in my stars with liquid pearls.

My remaining mugs were stenciled using Solar Paste in Golden Hour and the Pattern Play stencil from Inkblot Shop along with the Starburst layering stencil from Scrapbook.com on my last mug.

I did a good amount of masking on this project, to get all my mugs lined up and stamped as pictured.
