Last week, I had the pleasure of participating in a Fall Festival hosted by Children's Rehab and Early Intervention. I was asked to do crafts with the kids and we had such a great time. I had some wonderful sponsors to donate products for this event:
I helped with a little of the decorating, including creating the banner pictured above.
Die Cuts with a View - Cardstock Stack - White Core - 12 x 12 - Bright Metallics
I used DCWV cardstock to create the banner shape and letters, cut with my Cricut Explore.
Next, I ran my cut letters through my
Xyron - Xyron 900 Creative Station Sticker Maker
to turn them into giant stickers which easily adhered to the banner, then strung everything up with some orange baker's twine from the Ribbon Resource.

This turned out to be a HUGE event! Hundreds came through the doors. Batman was there, the Fire Department was there with their truck, even old Jack Sparrow, that crusty pirate showed up with this fetching pirate by his side.
Here's the staff who put this event together and really got into the festive spirit.
I had parental permission for this photo, however due to confidentiality reasons, I chose to augment some of the photos. The kids had so much fun making their pumpkin stickers. I let them or their parents write their name on the stickers, then they embellished them with some other fun goodies I brought along.
This little cutie, below, is the granddaughter of one of the staff. She had so much fun decorating her pumpkin. I cut, oh, a bazillion pumpkins with my Explore using the DCWV cardstock. Well, maybe not a bazillion, haha.

The kids cut little green stems using the Ribbon Resource green netting or paper raffia and we adhered them with the Xyron adhesives.
I wish you could have seen one little boy's face when we cranked those pumpkins through the Xyron sticker machine. His eyes got soooo big! The kids thought that was the coolest thing ever, making stickers out of the pumpkins. I knew it would be a hit, and I was right!
From start to finish, it was crazy busy. I was the first station when the kids walked in the door so there was a line and no time for me to get all the photos that I was hoping to get.
The staff had stations set up outside for games and inside, they had a maze of rooms decorated so the kids could trick or treat around the inside of the building. In case of inclement weather, this was a really smart plan. They even had the conference room set up for a cake walk. Wow!
(I'm kind of digging that bacon costume. Yum!)
The kids had such a great time. There were so many volunteers, including children of staff members (pictured above) who helped pass out candy and man some of the tables.
Jack Sparrow was so gracious to take pictures with the kids. This was the first time to have a Fall Festival here for these special kids and it was such a huge success. I'm so happy to have had a small part in it.
These little guys below, went from the sticker station, back outside to do more fishing; another fun station that was a big hit.
This event was scheduled for 2 hours but went waaaaay over! I hope you will support these wonderful sponsors and give them some of your business in the future. I've included some links throughout this post, where you can shop and show your support. Thanks again, Ribbon Resource, DCWV and Xyron for sending me some of my favorite products to work with and donating to this very special event. You are so appreciated!
