Autumn Cards With New Ink Blending Tools

I'm so excited to share some amazing new products from Scrapbook.com!  I've also got a YouTube tutorial for today's project, as well.  Let me tell you, I've quickly fallen in love with these hybrid inks and the new domed blender tool.  You will love them too!  I've made a couple masked, ink blended cards that also feature the new Fall Sampler stamp set and exclusive new double sided adhesive foam shapes.  Stick around for a minute or two.  You won't be disappointed.

You'll see in my YouTube video, how I masked my card with painter's tape.  There an approximate 2 minute fast speed segment where I take you through the masking and blending process.

You'll want get your dome shaped applicators well saturated for the smoothest, boldest blend.  And, because they're dome shaped, no harsh circle lines!  Genius!

This first card was a sample that I made.  You'll see the second card in the video tutorial.  A few tips of note, wrap burlap string around your cardstock border, apply Nuvo dream drops then sprinkle with Nuvo confetti.  Glue on some Nuvo gemstones or pop up with the mini foam squares from Scrapbook.com!  You'll see links to all the products at the end of this post.

Halloween Treat Box plus Labor Day Sale!

Labor Day is upon us and I hope you all are getting some crafty shopping in this weekend! I often grab treat boxes on clearance at end of season sales.  I also use my Cricut Explore on occasion to make treat boxes, but for this project, I thought I'd do some upcycling.  Since I had an entire package that's been sitting in my stash, I took one, cut it into two sections, then used as a template to trace on my papers.  Next, I fussy cut my papers and adhered them to my already assembled kraft box, using my EZ Grand Runner and super sticky Grand Ultra refill from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  You'll find product links below.

The Hey Pumpkin puffy stickers were too cute to pass up!  Scrapbook.com has their own brand of exclusive dies and I used the Jumbo Nested Tag Die Set for this tag.  It features ink blending, white on white embossing and a cute little scene that I created using the papers and puffy stickers.  

Are you following me on Instagram?  I share a lot of creative tips there, including the white on white embossing.  Just sponge on some white pigment ink and sprinkle white embossing powder, tapping off the excess.  Heat with your craft heat tool for a very cool effect.  Is it snow?  Is it moonlight?  You be the judge!

Snarky Pop-Tarts Card

It's time for another Crackerbox and Suzy stamps project!  I've had this idea bouncing around in my head for awhile, and it's so super duper easy.  I love easy!  I bet you do too.  You could make a ton of these lickity split.  For this card, I'm featuring the Pop-Tarts stamp.  It's also part of the Food and Drink sale going on this month.  Add it to your shopping cart before Aug. 1st to get an additional 15% off.

If you have some wonky nesting frame dies, they would work great for this.  However, I chose to simply use some DCWV papers and just cut my own wonky shape, to look like the shape of a pop-tart.  These are sized to layer onto an A2 sized card.  My kraft paper is adhered with my EZ Grand Runner and my purple layer is popped up with foam circles, as is my sentiment.

Grab some white acrylic paint and just dab lots of dots with a small paintbrush.  I sprinkled a touch of crystal glitter while it was still wet, but you can't really see the sparkle in these photos.  For my sentiment, I used my Misti to stamp and masked my center wording, going in later with a purple brush marker and directly coloring the ink onto the stamp.  Easy and colorful!

My girlfriends would totally "get" the sarcasm behind this sentiment!  Give this card a try.  You really can't mess this one up and you are going to love how easy and quick this comes together.  Don't forget the Christmas in July challenge that is currently going on.  I hope you'll enter!  There's a $25 GC up for grabs and you have until Aug. 14th.
