Autumn Leaves Coffee Card

It's National Coffee Day and I'm thrilled to share this card that represents my favorite season of the year and my favorite life sustaining beverage!  This day was made for me! I'm sure many of you feel the same so, yes, I will share this day with you as well, haha!

This card features the Fall Breeze stamp set from Sweet n Sassy Stamps and has quickly become a favorite of mine.

Here's a bonus tip: I chose to create a white rim around the top of my cup. Just use a light color and draw a line with your Copic Marker from one side to the other. I used my lightest yellow marker. Just make sure it's a color that will easily blend in with the other colors you're using.

 

I kept the same color scheme throughout this project, blending with my Copic markers. I even did a little stamp surgery on the flourish that's stamped randomly. Yup, I cut my stamp in pieces. It will still stamp beautifully when I piece it back!

Let me mention, that when I stamped these images, I wanted a more muted tone, not a harsh black. It really makes the leaves look more natural, if that's possible! My absolute favorite brown is a hybrid leather colored ink that I use allllll the time. It's a great earthy tone and really helps bring your colored images to life. Hybrid inks are a must for me when coloring with Copic Markers as I have no issues whatsoever with bleeding.

Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop with Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps

One of my favorite stamps was designed by my teammate Tracy McLennon.  It's the Coffee Cup Heart stamp and I actually masked the heart, which runs along the center of the cup, and made a paper pieced coozie.    

My coffee cup was colored with my gray Zig real clean color brush marker and decorated with a yellow button with string. All my papers and sticker elements are from the Carta Bella Hello Fall collection and adhesives and glue dots are from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.  You'll find shopping links at the end of this post.

I've used Zig real clean color brushes on my images and also adhered a die cut section of the Pink & Main Pumpkin Spice paper pad.  The colors all coordinate perfectly!  

My adhesives are from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L and sequins are from the Buttons Galore 28 Lilac Lane line of products.  My cardstock is Neenah Solar White, my absolute favorite!
