New DoubleClick Skittles Challenge- Use a Snowman

Welcome to the newest challenge at DoubleClick Skittles!

Challenge #37 - Use a Snowman

Dec. 9 - Dec. 22

For this challenge I used the new Skittles Christmas release, Frosty Kisses, specifically, Frosty and Frosty Blue.

You can purchase both of the new releases, Holiday Traditions and Frosty Kisses, right here:

I used my Cricut Explore and the digital Frozen cartridge, using the Print and Cut feature, to cut out Olaf and that ever-so familiar phrase.  If you have kids, then you probably know every song in the movie!

I placed the Frosty Blue Skittles on the snowflakes below.  Did you know that all the Skittles in the new release are sparkly?

And, the Frosty snowflakes on these pretty, glittered snowflakes.

The new Holiday colors for the 2015 year!!

Merry Christmas to me! A crafter's dream.....

Maybe I should say, "Happy New Year, 2015 is already rockin' it"!  Thanks to a very generous friend, and to the sale of my Cricut Expression, I am now the proud owner of this:

I'm so excited, you probably don't want to be around me right now because I'll just talk about crafty things non-stop, but can you blame me?  Want to know why I picked the Ultimate Disney Frozen Cricut Explore Machine Set?  Included in the box is this:

  • Cricut Explore® machine
  • German carbide blade
  • Metallic silver pen
  • USB cord and power cord
  • 12" x 12" StandardGrip Cricut® cutting mat
  • Getting started guide
  • Black and jade Cricut® cardstock
  • Silver Cricut® vinyl
  • White Cricut® iron-on
  • 2 Duck Tape® sheets

  • As an Ultimate bundle, this also comes with your machine:

    This set includes:
    • Cricut Explore® Deep Cut Housing & Blade
    • Cricut Explore® Scoring Stylus
    • Cricut® Metallic Pen Set
    • Cricut® Tools Basic Set
    • One 12" x 12" Light Grip adhesive cutting mat
    • One 12" x 12" Standard Grip adhesive cutting mat
    • One 12" x 12" Strong Grip adhesive cutting mat
    • Cricut® Window Cling in black
    • Disney Frozen™ Digital Cartridge (available in Design Space under the Cricut account used to purchase this bundle)

It comes with all these extras, for just $20 more.  I calculated how much each of these extras would be individually and it was well over $100.  This unit is already discounted by almost $200 and today is the last day to get in on that deal, plus get free shipping!  Yes, the free shipping sold me as well!

I've been a Cricut user for years and this is the most excited I've EVER been about one of their products!  Funny thing is, I don't have any girls.  I could do a lot of girly things with the Frozen images but they've got some awesome images (fir tree, for one) and quotes, plus everyone is in love with Frozen and if you are a seller of crafty things, you will make some good money crafting with these images.  I cannot wait to crank it up when it arrives on my doorstep.

Let me know if you decide to take the plunge.  I want to hear all about what you make!

Click the image above to get this offer.  Don't forget to use code  FREESHIPDEC, continental US only, expires 12/31/14

    FROZEN face painting

We had an event at church last night, to assist some needy families in the area, with Christmas.  At the last minute, I decided to bring my DecoArt People Paint pens and do a little face painting.
When I say last minute, I mean last minute.  The pens were still packaged and had never been primed.
This would be my first run with these markers.

I started with ornament balls and snowflakes.  Then, a little girl wanted Elsa.  Uh, oh.  No yellow for those golden locks, so we compromised with Olaf.  Olaf was definitely a work in progress.  My skills on wiggling, impatient children were lacking, but overall, the kids thought Olaf was awesome.  And that's what really matters, isn't it?

Disclosure:  If you decide to make a purchase through my affiliate links, Amazon will pay me a commission for it. This doesn’t cost you anything additional. These commissions help to keep the rest of my content free.  Thanks.
