ADORNit Watercolored Sympathy Card

There are times in a crafter's life, when we make cards to share in difficult times.  Today is one of those occasions.  My son's good friend has lost not one, but both parents.  What does one say to a 13 year old child who is now parentless?  Thankfully, he has a good support system and friends who care about him.

My prayer is that this card will offer a small measure of encouragement and a reminder to be strong amongst the turmoils of life.   I'm thankful that he knows we care about him and love him.

I chose to keep this card simplistic with a lot of white, so that the focus is on the layered sentiment and flower bouquet.  This image is from the Adornit Art Play Paintables Be Awesome collection and was colored and watercolored with Tombow dual brush pens.  The sentiment is from the Unity Stamp Co and was heat embossed on the flip side of the beige chevron Adornit blender paper.  Last, I've embellished with May Arts Ribbons, Skittles embellishments and Wink of Stella clear.

  1. Such a beautiful card Terri! I'm only sorry that it has to be given to the recipient for such a sad occasion.
