New Release at Two Paper Divas - Home Family Blessings

Have you enjoyed the January release stamp set previews this week from Two Paper Divas?  I'm back today, featuring the new, Home Family Blessing stamp.  I was so happy for the opportunity to showcase  this beautiful sentiment.  Creating a scene around a lovely sentiment is one of my favorite cardmaking techniques.

I started by embossing my sentiment with black ink and clear embossing powder, then sponging distress ink around the edges.

The designer papers I'm using are from the Home Sweet Home collection from Carta Bella and are the perfect accent for this sentiment.   I fashioned this beautiful bow from May Arts Ribbon to accent my card then added a few more little touches.  You can find the full supply list at the end of this post.

Visit the Two Paper Divas Blog and take a look at some of the projects featured this week, then check back each day for more project inspiration by the design team.

Shop Two Paper Divas for a wide selection of clear stamps, digital stamps and accessories.

Halloween Challenge at DoubleClick Skittles

Welcome to Week 2 of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!

Challenge #33 - Halloween

Oct. 21 - Oct.27

I snagged a few sheets recently of the new Carta Bella Trick or Treat cardstock and am using these fun papers to feature the Skittles Witches Brew bubble embellishments.

I love this scary Frankenstein monster, and added the Pumpkin Skittles for the eyes.  Just above, you can see where I embellished some of the wording with the Frog and Witch colors.  I also added Black Skittles on the corners of my center image.  I think the black gives it a nice polished look, don't you?

So how do you adhere the Skittles?  Glue dots, clear glue.... I love the Tombow mono aqua glue.  I use Tombow most of the time and sometimes I even add a touch of glitter glue as well, for that Bazinga factor!

Did you know that the new Skittles release, Witches Brew is almost sold out?  Everyone is going nuts for these bubbly little gems and if you hurry, you might snag one of the few remaining sets.   Carri has 3 different price options for this set, starting at a price point of $3.75 for the 3 pk set.  That includes free USA shipping and PAYPAL accepted.  But, you better hurry.

You can shop here:

Lastly, I added a pretty bow to round out this spooky and fun card.

Join the Halloween challenge and be entered for a fun prize, but be sure and read the rules, as backlinking is not allowed.  Skittles are not required to play so come on... link up and come and play with us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Terri
