Dream Big with Two Paper Divas and Webster's Pages

I'm feeling the gold today, with a little sparkly project for Two Paper Divas Stamps, featuring the new release, "Dream Big"; one of several stamp sets that are part of the April release.

This card is a little smaller, at 4"x4" but packs a whole lot of punch!  I wanted to add just a little hint of red to pop out with all the gold.  My sentiment was inked, then heat embossed with clear embossing powder, onto Webster's Pages cardstock, "These Are The Days" collection, designed by Megan Hoeppner, who was kind enough to send me a set.  It's actually designed for planners but I love to put my planner goodies to use for cardmaking as well.

To finish, I've added glitter ribbon, sequins and DoubleClick Skittles bubble embellishments.  I think this would be perfect as a graduation card, encouragement, birthday or even celebrating a job promotion.  There are lots of possibilities and uses for the Dream Big sentiment.  Get yours today!

Cupcakes and Sprinkles with Two Paper Divas

I've got another project for you, featuring one of the new stamp sets from Two Paper Divas.  It's called, "Yes To Sprinkles".   There are four sentiments in this set and it's all about Sprinkles, Sparkle and Shine!  I love this release, because the sentiments are appropriate for many different occasions, as you'll see from the graphic at the bottom of my post.

I thought this sentiment would pair perfectly with the new DCWV Confetti stack.

I wanted the word "Sprinkles" to stand out, so first I swiped a pink Tombow Dual brush pen over that word only, and stamped onto the cupcake paper.  Next, I inked my entire sentiment in black and stamped again.  It really makes the wording stand out, stamping with duplicate colors.  I love that the Two Paper Divas stamps are clear because it makes it so much easier to do this.

I also made a slit with my craft knife, on both sides of the cupcake liner, then ran ribbon through the back of my cardstock, pulling through to make a bow.  Isn't it adorable?  I love it!

Take a look.... fabulous sentiments, right?  I adore the fonts, too.

Don't forget the challenge that ends soon.  You have until the 27th of March to link up to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge.  There's a $20 gift certificate up for grabs!.

Growing In Unity - Day 3

Welcome to day 3 of my stint as the GIU (Growing in Unity) girl.  I'm showing you my creations all week long and if you comment every day on my blog post, you'll be entered into a random drawing for 25 random stamps from the Unity Stamp Company.  Wowza, 25 stamps!
Who wouldn't love that?!  2 winners will be selected.

Today's mixed media project is titled "Grunge Love".  Love is kind of messy, right?  And, with Valentine's Day right around the corner, I thought I'd get all mushy, uh, I mean messy.  ;)

I did a whole lot of distressing to this stamped/hand-cut Unity heart  (Everything Love Jan 2014 sentiment kit) including embossing the card stock with my Cuttlebug and using Ranger embossing powder in black and white.  I sanded the raised edges a bit and then had a happy little accident with ink on my knuckle.  Haha, so I decided to add a couple more inked "knuckle" dots to my design.  The Love You sentiment is also from the same kit.
Here's a close-up of the finished heart.  Notice the inked doily?  I used my Unity Grainy background stamp, dabbed Tim Holtz Picket Fence distress ink all over my stamp, and stamped in a criss-cross pattern on a Maya Road kraft doily.  I dried it quick, with my embossing heat tool.
Come back tomorrow for more Unity inspiration! Don't forget to leave a comment here so you can qualify for the random drawing.  And for a shameless plug, I'd love if you would come and like me on FB: http://www.facebook.com/wavingmywand because when I get to 500 likes, I'm having a big giveaway!
