Solar Paste Fireworks Card

It's celebration time with Independence Day right around the corner, and I thought it would be fun to make use of my new Solar Pastes. I've also had this Scrapbook.com Starburst layering stencil in my stash for several months and decided this was the perfect time to break it out.  The stencil is a 2 piece set so first I stenciled in some of my Solar Paste with the "fireworks" stencil using Beluga, Overheated and Golden Hour. Plus, I added some Ranger Stickles Glitter Gel in Moondust on the image in the center.

Once the first layer was dry, I went in and added solar paste with the stars stencil using the same 3 Solar Pastes.  Quick and easy!

My background was layered using my Scrapbook.com papers from the Playful paper pad and the Rainblow Glitter paper pad. Everything was mounted on an A2 vertical white card.

Lastly, my sentiment is from the Scrapbook.com word die set, Party Celebration Sentiments. I trimmed 2 words with black cardstock and one with red glitter paper, running them through my Platinum 6. All 3 die cuts were glued together for added dimension and glued to my card.

Fall Blessings

Hello crafty friends.  Today, I'm sharing a seasonal card featuring the Pink & Main Fall Bouquets stamp set.  This pretty set can be colored in so many different ways and really, can be used all throughout the year.  One of the main features of this set that I love are the beautiful sentiments which are so versatile and interchangeable.

I often like to embellish my coloring and so I grabbed my favorite white gel pens and starting dotting.  I sometimes get carried away, haha!  But, I do love the whimsical effect.  The designer papers that I'm using today are from the Carta Bella Paper Hello Fall collection and paired so perfectly, don't you think.  I'm absolutely mad for plaid!

I've also added some splatters with my trusty old October Afternoon Witches Brew sprinkles which sadly, are no longer in production.  Sequins and buttons from Buttons Galore add a little sparkle and my kraft photo corners and other adhesives are from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L.

Ghostly Halloween Card

Hello cardmakers!  Today, I'm featuring this fun Ghostly Halloween card for Crackerbox & Suzy Stamps.  I have a few tips for you, on this ink blended scenic card.  Grab your favorite beverage and let's hang out for a few minutes!

First, I blended some Ranger Ink onto my Strathmore watercolor paper, using distress oxides in Wilted Violet and Spiced Marmalade and Festive Berries distress ink in the center.  All my blending was done using the Ranger Ink blending tool.

Next, I did some offset stamping, using my Misti stamp positioner, using the Ghost Vamp stamps.  They're too cute to be creepy, don't you think?  I stamped them with black dye ink directly onto my colored background, then grabbed a water brush and diluted some of the color to look more ghostly.

*Please note, when using a water brush to dilute, blot with a paper towel but please DO NOT continue blotting with the same wet spot on your paper towel, or you will end up splotching your background.  Trust me on this!  When blotting, make sure each time is a dry spot on your paper towel.  You can thank me later!

To color my ghost eyes and create stars on my background, I used a white gel pen.  You can add sparkle to your sky using glitter and glue dots as well.

I created a hill top with black cardstock and stamped my Haunted House On The Hill.  I blotted the color in my windows to dilute again with a water brush, then, once dry, colored in with a yellow white gel pen.

Lastly, I masked my Muggle sentiment so I could stack my wording and stamped and then outlined my sentiment with a white gel pen.  I also masked the Deathly Hallows symbol from the Always stamp as well.  Many of the stamps that I used today are from the new release.
