Feel Better with Two Paper Divas Stamps

Here's another new release from Two Paper Divas Stamps, called, "Feel Better".  It's the cutest little bird with such sad droopy eyes....I just want to give him a hug!

I colored this little guy with my Tombow Dual brush marker, then blotted water with my Tim Holtz waterbrush, to dilute the color in the middle.  The pretty chevron card was from a set that I picked up at Hobby Lobby, from their Spring collection.  Some fun washi tape, burlap string and a doily complete this festive ensemble.   I think I'd perk right up if I received a fun card like this!  In fact, I know just the person to send this to.....

Pick Up Truck and Two Paper Divas

I've got a cool card today, featuring stamps from Two Paper Divas.  It's the perfect masculine or encouragement card.  Hey, I'd even dig getting a card like this!  I'm using the "Pick Up Lines" stamps that coordinate with the "Truck" stamp.  The sentiment is quirky and I like that because it turns what would conceivably be a masculine card, into a fun and quirky encouragement card, appropriate for men and women alike!  Lots of girls drive trucks too, right?  Hey, I live in the South and you will see more trucks than cars on the road.

The papers I'm using today are from the Graphic 45 A Proper Gentleman collection and I've embellished with lots of lovely ribbons from The Ribbon Resource.

My truck was stamped with black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I did some watercoloring and stenciling on the backdrop of my truck and on the truck itself.

Hey, mark your calendars for Monday, April 11th.  That's when the monthly April challenge begins and you don't want to miss it.  There's always a great prize offered up and it's so much fun!  Be sure and bookmark twopaperdivas.com and look for the challenge tab listed on the main page toolbar.  The new April stamp release is coming up on April 5th and 6th and you'll want to stop by for that too.  So many fun stamps.... and sentiments! (I do love my sentiments....)

Day 1 Coffee Loving Cardmakers Spring Blog Hop

I'm squeaking in by the skin of my teeth to get a Day 1 post in for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  It's all about papercrafters who love coffee, tea and cocoa.   Count me in for all three!

So, I ran home from work and started on this springy card because I'm obviously a procrastinator and wait until the last minute.... or maybe, I'm just swamped?  Yeah, that would be it!  Anyway, this card features coffee stamps from So Suzy Stamps and lovely papers from DCWV called Garden Charm.  I've also got some DoubleClick Skittles bubble embellishments, sequins from The Ton and burlap string from May Arts Ribbon/The Ribbon Resource.

The coffee stain stencil is from The Crafters Workshop and my inks are Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy distress ink.

It's "charming", don't you think?

There's a boatload of sponsors who give lovely prizes to those who participate by linking up and I just so happen to be on the design teams of several so I'm a little partial to them, two of which are featured on this card.  Can you guess?

If you'd like to join in, follow the link below and add your creation to the Inlinkz at the bottom of the post.  Friday, May 25th is the last day of the hop.

Now, if you stuck around long enough, you'll see that I absolutely cannot let a fabulous blog hop like this go by without doing something special, so I'm going to be giving away a little blog candy via random draw to those who comment on this post or any other posts that I link up this week.

How does a $10 Starbucks gift card sound?  Good luck!

New Release at Two Paper Divas Stamps

Today begins the brand new March release at Two Paper Divas!  I'm so excited that I get to share this new stamp with you, "Be The Reason".  We can all use a little more happy in our world, a little more kindness, a little more love.  What an awesome statement and reminder that it only takes a little effort on our part, to make someone's day brighter.

I was thinking..... imagine this card without the quote.  It's just a pretty card, right?  But with that lovely sentiment, it transforms into a message; a message of giving!  We all need to be willing to give more, every single day.  That's what life is about.  I'm a firm believer that each one of us serves a purpose in this life and it's up to each one of us as individuals to discover what that purpose is, then strive to fulfill that purpose.

Ok, so I totally did not intend to preach a sermon today, haha.  But I would encourage you, especially those of us who enjoy crafting and sharing our craft, to find time to give as well as create.  Do you have a lot of cards in your stash?  Take them to school and let the teachers pick some out, bring some to church and give them to that lady that you know loves to send cards, donate to a woman's shelter or create a gift basket for a worthy fundraiser.

I hope you'll consider adding this wonderful sentiment to your stamping collection.  It's one that I intend to use over and over and over.

Anything Goes Challenge at DoubleClick Skittles

Welcome to the newest challenge at DoubleClick Skittles!

Challenge #31- Anything Goes

Jan 20 - Feb 2

As a papercrafter, I will admit; I hoard paper.  I love paper in all shapes and forms.  Each collection is kept together in it's entirety, including scraps.  Ok, so I'm obsessed!  I'll admit it.  One of my favorite collections is from DCWV, Prism Play.  Did you know rainbow colors are making a comeback?  Yup, that is the thing for 2016, I kid you not.  Rainbow colors are going to be everywhere which is a pretty good thing for DoubleClick Skittles, since they come in every color of the rainbow!

I wanted to feature multiple colors of Skittles on my pretty card.  To begin, I used my paper piercer to poke holes on both sides of each hot air balloon basket, to tie bows with my May Arts Ribbon.

Once I tied all my bows, I used my hot glue gun to firmly secure my Skittles.  The colors I'm featuring today are Watermelon, Purple Twilight, Lettuce, Stream and Sunset Orange.  Aren't they just gorgeous?!

If you don't already have these lovely bubblicious gems, what are you waiting for?

A 3 pk is typically under $4.00 (75 skittles) and this includes FREE USA SHIPPING, plus, Paypal is accepted.  You're supporting small business and products made in the USA, when you purchase Skittles.  Each batch is handmade, by Carri.

Shop for the colors I used today and more, right here:

Don't forget, the 2015 Dual Holiday Release, Frosty Kisses and Holiday Traditions are still available.

Join the "Anything Goes" challenge and be entered for a fun prize that includes free Skittles, but be sure and read the rules, as backlinking is not allowed.  Skittles are not required to play so come on... link up and come and play with us!

Thanks for stopping by!

Terri

"Tanks" A Lot Aquarium Shaker Card.

Reminder.... Don't forget to enter the

Challenge #26 is: Ocean

Link up your new creation (using Skittles is not required)

July 8 - July 21

Today I've created an Ocean themed Aquarium.  Ok, so it's a stretch, haha.  I started out with some seaweed and fish stamps.  The next thing I knew, it started looking like an aquarium!  So I went with it.  :)  I even tried to make it look like light was streaming from the top of the aquarium by adding yellow glitter glue across the top of the card.

I've used several colors of Skittles today including Sailboat Blue, Glitter Bellini (which is about to be retired so run and get some!) and a not yet released color.

You can purchase these fun colors here!  DoubleClick Skittles Store
(PAYPAL ACCEPTED

This fun shaker card has Skittles glued onto the card, as well as loose inside the pocket.  The stamped images are from So Suzy Stamps, and I've made a fun little seaweed focus on the outer corners using May Arts Ribbon natural burlap string and trimmed felt.

Be sure you comment on all the Design Team projects and check out the rules, to be in the running for the prize being offered.  Good luck!

Butterflies Take Flight Get Well Card

I have a friend getting ready to undergo surgery, so I made this card to send her and am also playing along with the Unity Stamp Co Be Inspired Challenge.  I've chosen the color challenge but you can also do the sketch or layout challenge.

I opted to watercolor the sentiment and build around that.  This sentiment is from the 9/13 Kit of the Month, titled "Happiness has no limit" and the watercolored leaves are from that kit as well.  This was colored on Strathmore Bristol #140 watercolor paper using my Tombow Dual Brush Pens.  I painted the frame edge with Folkart Paint and added liquid pearls in Platinum Pearl.

Those fun butterflies taking flight?  May Arts Ribbon, including the string butterfly that's embellished with a large enamel dot.   Also, the sentiment was stamped with Memento London Fog ink and then traced over with a gray Tombow pen to enhance, and finished off with clear Wink of Stella glitter pen.

I'm also linking up to these challenges:

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge- Favorite Technique (watercolor)

Additional Supplies: Fab Scraps striped paper, doily from Hobby Lobby, Tombow Power Bond adhesive runner, foam squares, Word script strip from Farmhouse Papers, We R Memory Keepers large enamel dot, 6x6 white card The Paper Studio
