Hello crafters.  I'm so excited to share this project with you today.  Graphic 45 has come out with a new collection called "Café Parisian".  It is absolutely dreamy.  It's all things French, pastries, coffee, tea..... a European Culinary delight!

When I saw the first sneak peeks on the G45 website, I knew that I would have to share with my coffee and tea loving friends.  The Graphic 45 family is near and dear to my heart.  I first came to know them through the Craft and Hobby Association trade shows and had the pleasure of sitting in on one of their classes for my article on the CHA blog.  If you ever have the opportunity to see Jeff Filimoehala teach a class, you are in for a treat.

I love that so many of the G45 papers blend with other collections and allows you to make the most of what you have.  I adore plaids and stripes and this collection is full of them.

On my card today, I'm using several Café Parisian products; ephemera, paper, die cut flowers and my favorite at the end of this post.... the #3 stamp set.  There are 3 stamp sets in this collection and they are all amazing, but #3 is my favorite.  Isn't that tea cup just darling?  Imagine all the different ways you can color and embellish it.  I've watercolored my tea cup today, using Susan K Weckesser Color Pop mini inks.

Graphic 45 was kind enough to send me their collection so I could share with all my friends at the Fall Coffee Loving Cardmakers Blog Hop.  They are also sponsoring a prize featuring some of these very products.

It would be lovely if you would stop by the G45 Facebook page or their Instagram page, and leave them a comment, thanking them for this giveaway.  Just mention that the Coffee Loving Cardmakers sent you.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I'm leaving you with the shopping link below.  It's wonderful isn't it?  That tea cup.... the sentiments.... you're very welcome!

Graphic 45's Halloween in Wonderland......Get the Deluxe Collector's Edition today!

(FTC disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links so, if you purchase a product using the link I may receive a small commission. I only participate in affiliate programs that feature products that I use and love. Your purchase price is not affected in any way, by using my links)

Graphic 45 is one of my absolute favorite paper companies.  Having the pleasure of meeting the G45 family personally, and spending time interviewing them for a Craft and Hobby Association trade show a few years back, only deepened my love and respect for this amazing company.   The history of how Graphic 45 came to be is even more fascinating, considering owner Diane Schultz started her life over at the age of 45 to go back to school and learn the graphic design trade, hence the name, "Graphic 45".

Every paper collection is a hit.  Every one.  Many of the collections have color schemes that can be interchangeable with previous sets, adding extra mileage and versatility.

Now, just in time for your Autumn and Halloween crafting comes the
"Halloween in Wonderland collection", available now at Scrapbook.com.  This has been one of the most requested collections, by fans, to become a re-release.  The Deluxe Collector's Edition is one of those sets that you don't want to miss out on.  It's Alice in Wonderland, meets Halloween.  Originally released in 2010, fans have been clambering for its return ever since.

New Release at Two Paper Divas

It's time for the new release at Two Paper Divas.   The May release is one of my favorites so far.  We've got you covered from Nautical to Patriotic to Flowers and more.  Today, I'm featuring the brand new "Tulip Bucket Bouquet" for this lovely Mother's Day card which also features beautiful papers from Graphic 45.  Before you leave, be sure and scroll down for details on the upcoming challenge.  Someone will win a fabulous prize!

I was recently gifted with some real-life gorgeous, two-toned tulips, which inspired me for coloring up my stamped image below.

I used my Tombow Dual brush markers to color up my image and added some Stickles glitter glue.  I wanted to have my lovely tulips coordinate with my papers, so I chose to stick with lavender and orange colors.  I fussy cut my stamped image and popped it out with foam squares.

I just love how colorful and cheery it turned out and my Mom will love it too; it's her Mother's Day card this year.  The Tulip Bucket Bouquet is perfect for special occasion cards, encouragement, get well, birthdays and just because.  Get yours today!

Pick Up Truck and Two Paper Divas

I've got a cool card today, featuring stamps from Two Paper Divas.  It's the perfect masculine or encouragement card.  Hey, I'd even dig getting a card like this!  I'm using the "Pick Up Lines" stamps that coordinate with the "Truck" stamp.  The sentiment is quirky and I like that because it turns what would conceivably be a masculine card, into a fun and quirky encouragement card, appropriate for men and women alike!  Lots of girls drive trucks too, right?  Hey, I live in the South and you will see more trucks than cars on the road.

The papers I'm using today are from the Graphic 45 A Proper Gentleman collection and I've embellished with lots of lovely ribbons from The Ribbon Resource.

My truck was stamped with black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  I did some watercoloring and stenciling on the backdrop of my truck and on the truck itself.

Hey, mark your calendars for Monday, April 11th.  That's when the monthly April challenge begins and you don't want to miss it.  There's always a great prize offered up and it's so much fun!  Be sure and bookmark twopaperdivas.com and look for the challenge tab listed on the main page toolbar.  The new April stamp release is coming up on April 5th and 6th and you'll want to stop by for that too.  So many fun stamps.... and sentiments! (I do love my sentiments....)

Celebrate National Craft Month!

March is National Craft Month and I wanted to create something extra special to honor that.  I've been looking forward to getting my hands on this paper collection from Graphic 45 called, "Voyage Beneath the Sea". In addition, I have some really great stamps from So Suzy Stamps that go perfectly with this paper collection.  To begin, I wanted to come up with a way to highlight my mermaid by having her pop up out of the water so it appears as if she's right at the surface, while just below the surface, another scene plays out.

So, to start, I did a ton of fussy cutting on my mermaid's hair.  I also added Stickles glitter glue on her hair and on her scales.  The paper at the top is torn to look like foamy waves, while another strip of "waves" is behind her.

To make the background waves, I simply used a 1" circle punch but only put my paper halfway into the circle.  Voile!

I fussy cut the fish from the G45 papers and added a sentiment from So Suzy Stamps which can be found here.  Those cute sea shells are from the Stamp of the Month Club and if you're interested in that, you can get the details here.  The next quarter which begins in April has already opened up so this is the perfect time to sign up.  I also added some open weave ribbon from The Ribbon Resource/May Arts Ribbon, to look like fish net.

Here, I've added lots of sequins, liquid pearls, more glitter glue and stamped a sea plant, then colored it in with Tombows.  I also stamped it on my G45 paper to give it more dimension.  The sheer ribbon is also from The Ribbon Resource and I "burned" it with my heat tool, to melt it to look a bit like seaweed, as well.  The sequins are from The Ton and the bubble embellishments are from DoubleClick Skittles.  All can be found at So Suzy Stamps.  Suzy also carries several of the Graphic 45 paper collections, although I believe the collection I've used today is not in her online store yet, it is available in her physical store.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I plan on sharing this project in the Graphic 45 March monthly challenge also.

Mountain Plains Crafters Challenge with Graphic 45 + A Prize!

(FTC disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links so, if you purchase a product using the link I may receive a small commission. I only participate in affiliate programs that feature products that I use and love. Your purchase price is not affected in any way, by using my links.)
It has been waaaay too long since we had a fun challenge at MPC.  With Christmas just around the corner, it's time to have a little fun and give away a prize!

We were told to make two projects by Sheryl, who is heading up this fun event.   We needed to use a die cut and metal.

I absolutely adore the new Simply G45 program at Graphic 45.  Easy, simple projects that you can make quickly.  That is the route that I took for my card which features Graphic 45's, "Twas the Night Before Christmas" paper collection, which I've also used on my second project as well.

My crafty pal Paula, also one of the MPC DT's, gifted me with some Maya Road chipboard, so I covered the scalloped chipboard with my paper, tracing the outline and fussy cutting.  Notice those snowflakes on the paper?  Pay close attention because those will pop up in my second project too.

from: Scrapbook.com

Here's a close-up of a candy cane that I fussy cut from my G45 paper.  I fashioned and frayed a burlap centerpiece from my May Arts Ribbon Faux Burlap ribbon and added the embellished candy cane which is covered in a gold Skittle from DoubleClick Skittles.

Now, for my second project, I used my Cricut Explore and the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 cartridge, to cut this fun little treat box using the G45 Twas The Night Before Christmas paper.  This came together really quickly which is essential as we are all super busy this time of year, right?  I trimmed some G45 border from my paper and adhered it and added a gorgeous lime green polka dot bow that matched my paper.  I'll have shopping links at the bottom of this post, if you're interested in some of these items.  Bonus!

Now, I actually used my die cut and my metal on the same project.  Even better, my die cut is metal!  To make these fun Poinsettias, I used the Spellbinders Celebrations Just Because Flower dies with Spellbinders Media Mixage metal foil sheets, then punched out the G45 snowflakes with the accompanying Spellbinders circle die.  Such a pretty and fun decorative little accent to my Graphic 45 treat box!

Now, of course, there's a prize involved,  Get all the details on the MPC blog here:

Christmas Card Hop with The Ribbon Resource

Happy Friday!  Each Friday until Christmas, you'll find Christmas inspiration from the Prima Ribbonista's at the The Ribbon Resource - May Arts Ribbon Retail Store .  Today, we're featuring Christmas cards on the blog and you'll also have a chance to win a prize.

I finally got my hands on the paper collection, "A Christmas Carol" from Graphic 45.  I love these beautiful papers and I couldn't wait to pair them with some pretty ribbons from The Ribbon Resource.

Ribbons used from The Ribbon Resource:

To begin, I cut some of the Graphic 45 papers with Spellbinders dies.  You'll find a full supply list at the end of this post.

Next, I did a some background paper piecing.  All my adhesives today are from Xyron.

I fussy cut some images and popped them out with foam squares, embellished with my ribbon and added some glitter glue.

My ribbon focus on the lower left corner includes burlap string that's triple looped in a figure eight and secured with an adhesive dot in the center; a tiny gold metallic bow, and burlap stitched ribbon that is threaded through the ends of my die-cut sentiment frame.  I also mounted my Scrooge and Tiny Tim image on vellum to keep my detailed die cut edges from blending into the background.  This also allowed me to pop it up on foam squares and add some glitter glue around the border.

Thanks for stopping by and allowing me to share this pretty creation with you today.  I hope you've been inspired to jump into Christmas cardmaking, and use your ribbon as well, for that special homemade touch!

New Halloween Challenge at DoubleClick Skittles

Welcome to the newest edition of the DoubleClick Skittles Challenge!

    Challenge #33 - Halloween

    Oct. 14 - Oct. 20

There are so many fun and amazing Halloween paper products on the market right now.  I am such a paper addict and as you can imagine, I have several of those collections in my crafty domain at this very moment.  It was a total no-brainer deciding which paper collection I would use to feature the new Skittles release aptly titled Witches Brew; the Graphic 45 Rare Oddities collection.  It's the perfect companion for the newest Skittles colors, Frog, Witch and Pumpkin.  For goodness sake,  there's even tiny little potion bottles that say Witches Brew and Frog!

Another first for me today.... I made my first French Fry box.  I broke in my Cricut Cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and More 2 and used my Explore to cut these G45 papers.

I fussy cut those little potion bottles and even "burned" my white tulle from The Ribbon Resource by melting it a bit with my heat embossing tool, so it would resemble cobwebs.  It looks pretty cool in person.  The Witches Brew Skittles are scattered about on my box and perfectly match the colors of my paper... or is it the other way around?  The paper matches the Skittles?  Haha.  Regardless, I'm sure there's room in this box for some spooky treats.  My teenager will love getting his favorite Halloween candy in this super cool box.

Did you know that the new Skittles release, Witches Brew is almost sold out?  Everyone is going nuts for these bubbly little gems and if you hurry, you might snag one of the few remaining sets.   Carri has 3 different price options for this set, starting at a price point of $3.75 for the 3 pk set.  That includes free USA shipping and PAYPAL accepted.  But, you better hurry.

    You can shop here:

Join the Halloween challenge and be entered for a fun prize, but be sure and read the rules, as backlinking is not allowed.  Skittles are not required to play so come on... link up and come and play with us!

    Thanks for stopping by!
